Nets beat the Lakers, that would have been a regular thing to say in the previous couple of years but when Lebron is there and you are getting a 20+ point performence out of your least efficient player Lonzo Ball it makes no sense to lose to them. They didn't used any proper bench players as well, they made their players go for 35+ minutes and even played Lebron for 41 minutes, which makes no sense at all.

This is a regular season game and I can understand losing to anyone even to suns but losing to nets while keeping your starters for that long and tiring them out is really insane. Lakers really really need to fix this and really just work on a "system" they can build around so they can be more like warriors who has great players but also amazing offensive scheme.

Sometimes stronger teams got beaten. I am not saying that Lakers is a strong team but they are still vulnerable specially if the other team really did a good job in their defense.

I agree, the ball is round and sometimes even the greatest of them has some off-nights or his team doesn't have that enough push to win the game or coach made a costly mistake, its part of the game. You can't compare team as well, Lakers has its own system and GSW efficiency and winning formula did built in one season, it take team a lot of trades and getting the right player in drafts to piece the puzzle together.

One problem the management of Pelicans must deal with.  After the Rondo trade, it seems like they are not moving anymore. They need more deals.

Is Anthony Davis already eating up their salary cap? If that is so, then maybe they are all just waiting for AD's contract to be finished and reset their roster. While on the other hand, AD wants that ring which is impossible with a single man will only. He needs his team mates.

I would say no.. AD doesn't eating up much the whole team salary cap. His current contract is $127M 5-years contract on which is a usual value on a 5 years contract basis (started 2014).  New Orleans wants AD to stay with them that's why as far as the latest speculations are concerned (on which I think is close to happened) , they will offer a $250M max contract extension to him this summer. And I think that will now lead for Pelicans to inability to acquired a somehow good role players.

AD also stated that he is willing to gave up the big offer because he wants to prioritize in acquiring a ring.

Yeah he might want a ring but with that large offer he might become the next Dwight Howard who wont get anything but just fame and money.

I think he really needs to have a long thought about this.
He wants a ring then he cannot be blinded by the money.

We know LA Lakers have a large cap but they will be giving up a lot to insert AD. Will that really take them to a championship or will it just worsen the roster of the team?

Yeah Anthony Davis is currently on peak so he really want to forced for a ring . After getting his goal of becoming a champion, he can later on demand a max contract. But no need to demand, with his current performance, surely a team will offer him a big salary. Spurs are going really weird, so far in their past 6 games they have managed to go 5-1 and on their 5 victories they had over 25+ point difference on all of them, they basically screwed any team they faced without giving them a shot and really looking like a prime contender. However, there is also that one loss where they were leading 21 points and than LOST TO CHICAGO. I mean how weird you need to be to beat clippers, Sixers, wolves and so forth with 25+ point difference and than go out the field and lead the game with 21 points and lose to Chicago after that? They are really a wildcard, the roster actually doesn't look THAT good on paper and if it was like Orlando or something I would have already forget about them but when its spurs they somehow find a way back to playoffs.

Sometimes, overconfident kills. Even with how well they played in their previous games, when they play against a much lower team than they beat, they usually became complacent in a sense that they tend to relax and eventually loss the game.

Yes, I agree with your comments. A Lebron + Kawhi is not a good combination because they tend to play the same position so its going to be difficult to have them in the same team, imho. A Lebron + AD is a good option, however, Lakers will be losing some of its core including the young and developing players so it's going to be a hard decision for the management to let go of them just to catch AD or trade or free agency.

Look at Denver now. Just the addition of Jokic made them a strong team and gained a number 1 spot on the Western Conference.

In my opinion it would pull more fans going to each stadium of every team rather than a heavy traffic in LA and GS. It aint just about the television but also about the fans paying up for the seats. They need to pull some of those to get this players paid.

Anthony Davis clearly said that he prefers legacy over money and would be willing to get a pay cut in order to get a ring and be a better HoF candidate in the future, Lebron is just a player who said he would love to play with AD, he specifically responded the owners comments with he would love to play with KD as well and Butler and named couple other people, I mean if you ask Lebron if he would love to play with AD of course he was suppose to say yes, what was he suppose to say "no I do not want to play with him"? And then owners made crude remarks like people are trying to steal their players.

I am sorry but if you have not improved a single bit since AD joined than pelicans deserve to let him go for free, they would have contended if they just built a proper team around him but they failed. Nah, the Rockets had a bad start this year and I dont consider them as " one of the best" in the league this year. I more surprised and impressed with how the Nuggets improved this year.

Yes, the Rockets turn into just "another team" this year as compare to be one of the best. And that's why other teams have step up including the Denver Nuggets. As for the Spurs, I'm sure that they can make another play offs run again but it's going to be difficult to even go to the second round.

Luka showed again why he was the youngest euroleague MVP. Dude really carries the Dallas team almost by himself, he definitely gets help from his teammates and I worry that his teammates will start to pass to him less and less because he is getting the praise and they are thrown in with the other useless players like they do nothing but to be honest they really do not provide that much to the table. Dallas has improved a lot from last year and yeah they had DJ and all that but if you ask me %50 of this improvement is thanks to Luka all by himself, dude really balls like he is 30 years old. The system euroleague has with young teams and players playing in euroleague type of games at even 16 years old and all that really improves the players mental attributes, NBA players are by far more athletic and all that but euroleague players develop mentally much faster.
