The Lakers losing to the Kings is shameful...  I'm on board with Frank Vogel (one of my favorite coaches) being fired at the all star break.  It's clear his system is not working and he's horrible at managing his talent.  Another great outing by Dwight Howard in extremely limited minutes...  He made all 3 of his shots, was sent to the line 4 times, and grabbed 7 rebounds in under 15 minutes along with having a +/- of +9 in the loss.  It's crazy he's not getting ~30 minutes a night the way he's been playing.  Vogel has got to go.  The talent is there.  If they aren't going to trade Westbrook and AD immediately, they need to dump Vogel.

Agree, they are hyped this season, and then it will only result in disappointment, the management would not love that, they may retain Lebron and AD but Westbrook just like last season will be traded again. The Lakers are doing good in their last 10 games but the fans are just hard to please since we are expecting too much from them so now we are disappointed.

Just witnessing how he hustled for two consecutive games makes me wonder why they are not giving him more minutes. Let him be a starter, let the phase run thru him with speed and to drag everyone in that Lakers team in his defensive aggressiveness. He is like Covid, contagious. He can easily make the team and the fans go wild with all his hustle plays.
Him and Dwight Howard combined makes a strong defensive line.

If the coach is the problem then he could have been fired already. The management respects him as he brought a championship with the Lakers, so I think he will be given a chance to prove himself and if the Lakers will not succeed, they might trade or acquire other players but the coach will remain unless Lebron will influence the management to fire the coach.

This is one hell of a game with the Bulls vs the Nets. This is the latest I can remember a Bulls game starting (9PM local time). The Bulls are playing good basketball but every time they manage to get within two or tie it up the Nets come right back. This trio of Harden, Durant and Kyrie is just ridiculously good. The Bulls seem to keep leaving Durant open. They are having a hard time guarding this big 3, often doubling on one of them then it opens another up. Let’s go bulls!

Unfortunately mate, as much as we want the Bulls to win, maybe because we have a bet on them, the Nets are running with a huge lead now as they really pour everything in the 3rd and going into the 4th quarter.

The Nets has one surprised and it was not Kyrie but Day'Ron Sharpe who scored 18 points so far.

Kyrie is not even in double digit in scoring but it looks like he is going to make it as he has 9 points already.

I decided not to put any bets on this game as I figured it would be emotional enough for this Bulls fan as it was already what had the feeling of a playoff game. Unfortunately this game didn’t do much more than show us that if you don’t have a mega star, it’s next to impossible to win a championship. I still have a lot of faith in the bulls future, but we need to go sign a mega star, someone like Damien Lillard perhaps (though I did recently read that it’s possible that guy is going to have season ending surgery, though I hope not! ).

I'm not a Lakers fan but I know who to blame. lol.. I think it's because of Westbrook, before he was traded to the Lakers, that team was a championship team, but then when he finally gets in, the hype was high but the expectation vs reality did not sync.

They are bringing that to the table on the early days of the season and not that a shocking thing I guess. Looks like that would be the possible scenario Lakers might get, they really need a shift for Vogel. I don't know if that's the best decision to dump Vogel or trade AD/WB for the Lakers but they do need to act and see if what will change.

Lakers really have the talent but they are not able to show that as a team. They have incredibly talented individual players like Lebron, WB, Howard. But as a team- they are still not playing up to the level the fans expected them to.

Lebron is as always solo-carrying the team. Even in this match he scored a whopping 35 points and gave 6 assists and took 7 rebounds. The guy is a powerhouse in both offense and defense.

Maybe Howard should be given more minutes in my opinion he at least deserves 25 minutes a game. If you look at the stats of the Kings, they played really well as a team and their rotations were also really good.

Maybe we as fans expecting too much to 30+ guys who are mostly not in their primes, though it may sound subjective but that's just my opinion. Most of the star athletes on the team are 30+ already and I think that's the reason? Maybe the chemistry thing again.

No doubt on LBJ, he can do that but they should act as a team and win as a team too. It feels like he's not stopping and just getting hungry for more but if the performance as a team doesn't meet, that's not really fine at all.

I'm with you there mate, I also believe that Westbrook will just end up being traded again or Carmelo Anthony, I mean, we have no doubts about their talent because we already knew about their capabilities. It's just Westbrook isn't accustomed for not being in the spotlight and only supports LBJ who leads and carry the team.
We can't blame the fans for being disappointed because including me, I expected a different gameplay from the Lakers who had lots of star players.

The Lakers loss today is actually heartbreaking since the star players are doing great but they aren't getting enough minutes they should have been given enough time until they are exhausted to play.

A nice game to watch was the Nets vs Bull and the Nets won the game by blowing them out by 26, 138-112.

James Harden: 25 PTS
Kevin Durant: 27 PTS
Kyrie Irving: 9 PTS

The Big three was doing great because they are winning games despite of their new rotation since Irving came back.

It's the two rookies that played the starting core with the big three that made the real difference. Day'Ron Sharpe and Kessler Edwards.
They did well at both ends of the floor, especially Sharpe who dominated under the rim even if he only played 22 minutes. None of them are wasted, all of those minutes are used perfectly.
Then, there's Derrick Jones Jr. who was injured at the first minute of the game by rolling his ankle. Wish him good health. Maybe it will be a different kind of game if he was around.

Lebron James is making a strong case for his all around ability as a basketballer this season playing center. Another great night for the king but resulted in another loss. The main failure of lebron this season as compared to other season is his inability to get the very best out of Russell Westbrook.

Frank Vogel needs to recognize that Westbrook can't be on the floor on the fourth quarter. Furthermore wise Avery Bradley playing so many minutes, this was the same last season where Vogel have more minutes to him to the likes of curoso and kcp. Give more minutes to the likes of Austin reaves and Ariza.

There is a great game tonight. Milwaukee Bucks are playing a home game against Golden State Warriors. I can't wait to watch this huge game as I'm going to be able to watch Klay Thompson too. And I know that he is still trying to adapt again but it won't take too much time hopefully. If he starts playing close to his performance before his injury, then we could watch a more amazing game tonight. And they could win the game too in that case.

No question about it, even without looking at how the game goes for the Nets since last season, they're automatically considered as the best team in the NBA if they're all healthy. However, this season I think GSW & the Suns are becoming better and better and will no doubt can defeat a healthy Nets.

On the other hand, that question below about the Lakers, the answer to that is a resounding NO lol.
I don't expect a team to be on that list who's struggling with team chemistry and most especially defensively.
