When we thought that Kyrie is slacking and not leading the Nets since Durant is out, he finally made it his mission scoring 48 points and grab 11 rebounds. I myself was caught up betting against them in this game.

But he proved us wrong, and we all are trap. Claxton also had a good game, chipping in 20 points.

This game probably got us divided because I did throw some few spare bucks for the Jazz considering that they are more reliable and trusted when it comes to betting than the Nets now, especially while Kyrie seems inconsistent after Durant's injury, but earlier, he proved again that he is not someone who can be easily underestimated as he was just probably having a consecutive bad nights and adjusting to his role while Durant's out. Honestly, it was really unexpected.

With LeBron James likely to break Kareem’s scoring record in less than 10 games, it’s time to start watching the scoring tracker.

https://www.nba.com/news/lebron-james-scoring-tracker

I’m hoping he does it on a night where I’m able to watch. I’m sure he’ll probably try and time it. The NBA has got to be pressuring him to do it on ESPN or TNT. This might not seem like a big deal to some people, but this could very well be one of those games like Kobe’s retirement game, where it’s a special moment you want to witness.

Wild Lakers win, Grizzlies thought that they are cruising into the game, but the Lakers didn't give up and made defensive stops specially in the last 4 minutes of the game. I think it was just the breaks for them, Dennis with a steal and then the go ahead basket and lead.

Brandon Clarke missing the 2nd free throw that could have tied the game.

So the 11 game winning streak has been put on a stop by the Lakers.

Yes, the Lakers pleasantly surprised us this time, and I think many fans were impressed with their defense in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. By the way, the Lakers were down by 5 points with 1 minute left in the fourth quarter, and the fact that they managed to steal the win in the final seconds was really impressive. So if Schroder, Westbrook, and other teammates fight to win every game like that, the Lakers will still have a chance to make the playoffs.

Yeah, LeBron seems like he’s trying his best to carry that team to a few wins. So far they’ve been doing prettt well since the turn of the new year. I’m not sure how long he can keep it up, but with less than a month until he breaks Kareem’s record, you can see he’s on his A game. Hopefully by then Anthony Davis will be back in playing shape and can help LeBron carry the load a bit as they make a playoff run.

Yes, he is looking to break Kareem's record so for sure he will bring his A-game, regardless if they win or not. The good thing is that the Lakers are clicking, Westbrook, Dennis, Nunn. Even Pat Bev has improved a lot in terms of his shooting from the 3.

Not sure if they can make it to the playoff in the West, but as long as James is healthy and leading the team, there might be a good chance for them.

Davis is another factor, if he comes back after the All-Star break and help them in the second half of the season, then maybe they can be in for the play in as they are in the 13th spot.

He is wise indeed! But I'm really curious if the Los Angeles Lakers will be the end of his road and will be the team to officially retire his jersey because at the back of my mind, I'm also thinking that he might choose to retire with the Cleveland Cavaliers, where his home team is and where he get drafted. Anyway, we still have a few more years to enjoy LeBron James greatness, so let's cherish it while he's still active and hopefully he can add one more ring.
I confess that this is one of the questions I would most like to know, this can even be considered a mystery lol

What I and some friends of mine speculate is that LeBron James will return to the Cavaliers, Bronny will be drafted to the Cavs and for the first time in NBA history, son and father will play together on the same team.
And after that feat happens, LeBron James will retire for the Cavs.

I know that LJ's contentment in the Lakers is not the best, including the bad performance of the team, I have no doubt that this could be a factor for him to leave the Lakers soon, now, if the chemistry between the players improves, AD is 100% healthy, and Wesbrook's performance improves, I believe LJ will be able to stay longer in LAL.

Of course, everything I've said is mere speculation on my part, but I have no doubt that it could happen....

For me, I'll just pass with the thought of hoping that Davis will be healthy 100 percent because we all know that his situation won't get any remedy that quickly even if technology will improve. We already saw some sorts of players with the likes of him and it's almost impossible to see that they will be available for the games most of the time because of their situation.

For LeBron, I'd say that he will have more chances to add another ring if he's with the Cavaliers now and hopefully, his kid will be drafted at the said team too.
Yes, I believe that will be a possibility and I also agree with AD, if he can come back to the Lakers as soon as possible almost 100% healthy it will be a huge plus for the Lakers as he makes a significant difference to the team.

Yep, that's true, well, if that doesn't happen, I believe that the other possibility for LJ to have another ring is returning to the Cavs, maybe building a "super team" or wanting to leave a legacy after his retirement, of course, that I also speculate that Bronny will be on that team... well, besides father and son playing together on the same team in the NBA, I believe that if they are champions together in one season it would be insane!

Tatum is not playing because of his left wrist injury, but Boston still doesn't look bad. Grant Williams and Malcolm Brogdon play extra today. Grant Williams showed how effective he was when he gets playing time and used the ball more. Only Boston's 8-man rotation can get overtired at the end of the game. For now, the match is head-to-head.
Then there's the Cavs vs Bucks game. That game is going to be pretty good too. Teams close to each other in the East, we will see who is better. Giannis Antetokounmpo won't be playing, just like Boston without Tatum, it will be a test for the Bucks while he's out.

There's a rumor spreading about Lebron leaving and he will go to the team where he's son got drafted. But I believe this will happen in lakers since many great players end their career in purple and gold so maybe Lebron want to leave a mark there as well maybe Lakers will do what Lebron request if this scenarios will happen since this will be a good business to them if they can acquire the father and son duo since it will convert to more sales to them. But let see what will be the update to this since to many things to happen and everything could change.

The Lakers did extend his contract for two years knowing that Lebron will go to the team that drafts his son, so maybe the Lakers do have plans to draft Bronny. Even if Lebron is not bringing wins to the Lakers, he is still good for business and still bringing lots of cash to the organization. So, it is just right that they keep Lebron by bringing in his son. But that is still far in the future. We will have better grasps of where Lebron will land when the draft is nearer.

Without any outside issues, Kyrie is still very dependable inside the court. If he gets hot, nothing can stop this guy from scoring. The Nets are still a very competitive team even if Durant is on the bench. So, I am not taking them very lightly and bet against them with a so-so team.

Lakers were able to live on the reality that Davis is not playing with them, they understand that winning is necessary for them to improve their ranking. Dennis is such a big asset for the Lakers, I hope they will not let him go, and I hope Dennis won't be too greedy to ask too much that the team cannot afford to give to him.

I think Dennis Schroder already learned his lessons on being too picky with his contract. This is a second chance for him to revive his career. He almost lost it when he refused to take the 80 million offered by the Lakers before and no team picked him up after his injury. He is still very reliable and starting to be consistent lately. Maybe the Lakers will offer the same contract or more after his 1-year contract with them.

I made a bet last night with the Celtics down by 10 in the 3rd quarter to golden state. Ended up getting 1.95 odds on my bet, basically a 2x on my money. Wasn't really a smart gamble but somehow the Celtics pulled off the win in OT by 3. Not gonna doubt Tatum or the rest of the Celtics for the rest of the season.

Golden state has not been playing great, but when they have a 10 point lead they usually don't lose it. They definitely need to work harder and figure out their issues with half the season over if they want to make the post season.

And Boston winning against the Raptors by just 2 points, they took the lead at the end of the 3rd and started hot on the 4th, but they allow the Raptors to get back and tie the score 103.

And then Pritchard hit that 3, 1:30 left, they got a steal, but they the Celtics forced a jump ball on Pascal Siakam, it's another wild ending, Williams was called a foul with 3.8 when they are trying to inbound the ball. But again, Siakam losses that ball in the next play for the Raptors.

With LeBron James likely to break Kareem’s scoring record in less than 10 games, it’s time to start watching the scoring tracker.

Yeah, I would not want to miss this one too. Just imagining how long it was for someone to put a scoring record like this is surely amazing. ESPN or TNT would be the best not just because of the coverage but the unbiased commentators that will be there explaining how and why it is an important deal.
This sure will be after the All-Star unless he makes 50+ points per game in their last 5 games before the said event.

The Boston Celtics are unstoppable. They just recorded their 9th winning streak after defeating the Toronto Raptors. And the good part is, this was done without Jayson Tatum (wrist injury). This is just the 3rd time Tatum missed a game.

Brogdon, Jaylen Brown, and grant Williams are the three players who were the backbone of the Celtics' win. They have played really well. And it was very interesting till the end. I thought that Celtics was going to be the one to win the match. But I certainly did not think that this game is going to be so close.

And I also absolutely agree that I am also not going to doubt Celtics for the rest of the season. Because after looking at the last game, I can say that the result was very deserving.

And this is why Ja Morant has mentioned about Boston Celtics, I guess everyone remember that one.

In all honestly I think Raptors are going to win because of Tatum less Celtics, I mean they have to cover what Jayson average in this game and everyone step up in this game and give the Raptors a very tough and close game. That defense though that they pull in the last seconds of the game, forcing a jumpball and then they know where the ball is going to be so they focused on Siakam in that last play.

I am %100 sure that Bronny will be drafted even if only for his fathers name. Dude doesn't need to play all that much, there were a million antentekoumpos in the league just because Giannis was in the league, which means that they wanted to get his brothers in order to maybe have a chance to get him too, but that did not work. I am sure Bronny will be anticipated, and Lebron "may" go to the team that drafts him, just these two ideas would be better than most second round picks. Like seriously, whats a 55th pick guy ever does? Its very rare you find a gem there, hence its better to get Bronny for a hopes of one more year from Lebron and make a killing with profits thanks to jersey sales. I am sure it will happen, just don't know which team.

Yup! the NBA could surely get Bronny James or even his younger brother Bryce Maximus James but I really wish Bronny James will get by the Los Angeles Lakers if he is not drafted by the Lakers maybe be traded to them instead if they can not get him, and yes because Lebron James is doing great for the Lakers now they could do that for him, for me, Lebron James is a big asset for the Lakers that name alone could rack up money for them and if the Lakers would not get Bronny Lebron James would surely go into another team that has Bronny for sure,

LeBron will stay with the Lakers next season because he has a player option for the 24/25 season, not the 23/24 season. Anyway, maybe the Lakers' management will really want to get Bronny in order to keep LeBron, but the problem is that the Lakers only have a second-round draft pick in which Bronny might be selected. So it's still hard to predict whether LeBron will retire in a Lakers uniform or not.

I really think that is not a slim chance for them to get Bronny James and for the 1st pick to be Bronny James, I really think that Lebron James for them is a big cash cow get for their corporation, there are a lot of advertisers that want Lebron James and sponsors that are backing the name Lebron James and right now Lebron James is currently playing like his prime years, considering his games he is pretty much doing great right now, so I really think the Lakers will consider Bronny James as a great asset aswell,

Well, this is a topic I've been researching for a few days... Which LJ team will retire and which team will Bronny be drafted?

I have no doubt, LeBron James is an extremely valuable player, not only for his quality as a player, but as a well-respected and well-known name today.

I could be talking some nonsense, but I don't know, it's been a while since I've noticed that LJ is unhappy with the Lakers. I believe this could be due to the team's poor performance over the last few seasons, injured AD, lack of Lakers chemistry/teamwork among other factors.
Even though he performed so good in almost every game, I don't see him happy as he was with the Cavs or the Heat, I believe that maybe he could be focusing on some personal things or other business.

Taking advantage of the topic of this conversation... do you believe that LJ can terminate the contract and go to other teams? for example, Cavs?
I don't know, if they renewed LeBron James's contract, possibly the Lakers will do everything to create a super team to next season

I mean, LeBron is no longer in his prime and if he will demand that Lakers will take advantage of any team who will ask for LeBron's trade, we know the value and what are the risk behind of landing him.

For business side, the team who will acquire him will gain good numbers of fans to support tickets and PPV
but long-term wise, I'm not sure if that's a good idea though we can't tell what might be his future decisions.

Sacramento Kings are 3rd in Western Conference! Just let it sink in guys because this is a real achievement from a small team that have been working hard in silence for all this years and finally they are having a great season. This small club really deserves more as we see people are back in the court when team is playing and if we take a look 2 years ago on Sacramento games , we will have saw empty seats over empty seats but it's not the case anymore.

Even if they lost last night , they still scored 127 points without having a great defense game because hey , no one is playing defense anymore this season ...

As trade deadline is getting near, we will hear a lot of news and rumors about the current movements that are happening inside the NBA.
Quote
NBA trade rumors: Rockets turned down Bucks' offer for Eric Gordon; Hornets will take calls on Gordon Hayward
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-trade-rumors-rockets-turned-down-bucks-offer-for-eric-gordon-hornets-will-take-calls-on-gordon-hayward/
Quote
The Jazz are reportedly open to dealing anyone besides Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler
This is something for the Utah Jazz. "Open to dealing anyone" is such a big move for them after piling up young players last season. I bet it is also a call for Clarkson to straighten up his decision about his future with the Jazz.
Their management seems to be liking big men too. Before they kept Rudy Gobert for a long time so it's not surprising if suddenly they will like to build Walker Kessler as he had been amazing this past few games with his rebounding skills and blocking capability.
Keeping Lauri Markkanen though is an obvious move, make him the face of their franchise and build a good team to support him. A good ball handler with a great passing ability will probably be best paired with him.

There are still teams who played good defense. What is your basis for saying that no team is playing defense this season?

You can check on the stats. https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/defense

The scores are just high because teams nowadays love to shoot 3 points, unlike the teams in 90's where games are very physical and they want to drive the ball more and less attempts in 3 points area.

Yes, this is true!
I agree with @Ziskinberg said.
Comparing with his past performance, unfortunately it is not in his prime.
He's just turned 38, he still plays like an allstar player, and is without a doubt still one of the best players in NBA.
That's insane, a 38-year-old player playing better than other young players and, above all, without a serious injury in his career.

In my opinion, I even believe he will be able to play 3 more seasons in NBA without losing too much his performance

In my opinion, I even believe he will be able to play 3 more seasons in NBA without losing too much his performance

Let's hope that he will continue to take care of his body and he will not be seriously injured. He is still waiting for his son to be drafted so he will be able to see that his son will be playing with him or against him, that's the biggest achievement of his life, and that only proves that despite being at retirement age, he is still different because he is an exceptional athlete.

He can make a history and beat the oldest player of all time in the NBA which is  Nat Hickey who was 45 years during his final year. Lebron is already 38 years old, he needs to play 8 more seasons.
