Trojan?
the only way to find out if is a trojan or not is to upload the wallet exe to some websites like virustotal or similar ones and wait that give some kind of response... anyway at least here doesn't seems the usual coingen/walletbuilders thing but i could be wrong No, the latest trojan-wallets use crypter or another fud (File Un-Detectable) program to hide the file from all scanners, even virustotal. Emsisoft is the only scanner which *might* catch it, but probably not. You need to run new altcoin wallets either in a virtual machine (try free VMWare), a sandbox (try free version of SandBoxie), or a system restore point you create right before you install the risky wallet. In fact, a combination of all three of these is best. I'm not saying this coin is definitely infected with a trojan. But I am saying that more than 50% of all new altcoin launches lately are designed to carry a trojan or remote administration tool that sits on your machine for the purposes of stealing cryptocurrency wallets, logins/passwords, and personal information. So practice safe altcoining. |
