Do you guys think professional gamblers life is very good? Because I read many time members are telling professional gambles can make regular income.

Yes, the life of the professional gamblers is glamorous but I think it is only for short period of time till they are making good profit from gambling. I don't think that its possible for every professional gambler to make regular income, there are many example in front of us that many people's life has been destroyed because of gambling.

this is true but they usually make a profit off of their "jobs". I'm not completely sure if it can be long-term but they can get reputation off of it and translate that into cash flow

That is 100% correct, all these casino houses want to attract new people to gamble so they will promote all these kinds of professional gamblers and publish news now and then saying they won big money and many people will inspire of that news and will start trying their luck as well and finally casino will make more profits. So gamble but carefully

I would think being a professional gambler would be a really stressful life. Not knowing if you can win the next day in order to win enough to eat.
That kind of life would make you be on edge all the time.
Gambling to me is you win you get out because you will lose eventually in the long run.

Yes those are gambling house tricks trap many new gamblers so they will publish some one has win very big amount and all other small fishes will fall on their trap.

I have never heard of a celebrity gambler or a famous one who has ben earning money all life, so obviously no gambler will have a glamorous life specially when they tend to lose money too.

Its a delusion only. There isn;t a guaranteed winning strategy with which you can make a million dollars without risking it all. He will likely lose a million on it.

The most successful gambler may continue his gambling as part of his life style he will never concentrate on new skill developments. But the main thing is that professional gamblers will have a glamorous life style. In my opinion all the professional gamblers are not successful.

Exactly. All professionals have to work hard to earn their living. They need to spend a lot of time to learn the skills in their profession. This is a boring process.

I am not a professional gambler but did spend over a decade trying to be. Gambling is an addiction just like drugs you spend almost all your waking time gambling. You lose you think what to play or who can lend you money to play again. You win you think your god and eventually you will hit a wall. Gambling is a very tough life not like what you see in the cinema.

Not all professional gamblers, including people who just make a living from gambling, necessarily need or even want a glamorous life or to live a lavish lifestyle.

Many successful long term profitable/professional gamblers are happy just being their own boss, not having to answer to anyone except themselves and the taxman, being able to "work" whenever they want or not "work" whenever they want.

Many don't need/want 20 luxury cars, a yacht in each ocean or six mansions in six different countries. There are professional gamblers who are satisfied with just being able to pay their monthly bills, health insurance, car and house payments kid's tuition, groceries, going out on the weekends, vacation/holidays, etc, etc.

I met a professional poker player on a cruise ship who was in her 50's who just enjoys just hanging out with her friends and traveling the world. Nothing crazy extravagant or "glamorous." And she didn't seem very stressed out to me.

I think addiction is actually what separates professionals from the bums. Even the best of the best lose, but the ability to cope with loss and not allow it to get to your head is a lot of what defines who the best out there are.
