So I need the display + breakout board + Arduino to have the display show my text.
That's DYI solution. I wouldn't be surprised that there's some "profi" solution already, I'm just not aware of any. Oh, there are dozens of them: https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=lcd+usb&tbm=ischEnte

I know that this project is basically an "it will be done when it will be done..." kind of thing, but can you give us any idea about where you are in the process?

We are working hard to have something ready for Bitcoin 2013 conference in May. These are both busy and exciting days. Please, give us a few more days and you'll learn more! :-) I thought they were done? They were selling on bitmit, were they not?
No, the guys on Bitmit are different project. They are selling bare programmable hardware for developers. Not product for end users.

Today we have some really exciting news to share. During the last few sleepless weeks we managed to redesign the board so it's 20% smaller in size and it also has electronic components just from the top side, so we can make the product casing even thinner. Here are the photos:

That is a thing of beauty ! For readers who don't recognise the '1 Euro' coin - it is 23.25 mm across ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1_euro_coins)

Re: Form factor redesign. Excellent! Re: Full loading of input TX's required for signing outputs on memory limited devices.Did you guys read etotheipi's thread re: a BIP for what he claims is a minor change to the protocol that would remove the requirement to load all inputs for signing? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=181734.0Mike H., below, makes a comment on the specifics, but I'll leave it to you to understand what relevance it might have for trezor.

He's talking about embedding the value of an output into the signed data along with the scriptPubKey (when it's substituted into the scriptSig slot). https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=181734.0Just to repeat my comment from Facebook, we all love tiny things but it seems like your screen is getting so tiny it may be difficult to read for anyone with non-perfect vision. I think I'd have to hold it up close to my face to see what it was saying. I'm not sure where the portability/readability tradeoff is with devices like this but there must be some point where smaller isn't better.

What do you think you guys will have working by the time of the conference? I'm really looking forward to playing with a Trezor there, it's going to be one of the highlights

The board found its way into the case at last! (This is not the final design of the product though ...)
