I am very happy that an american distributor was able to distribute Trezors to the US - with short delivery times. Great product guys!

Why the Amazon site doesn't reflect this discount, at least while the SL promotion is going on?

try changing electrum server. my electrum wallet also keeps syncing forever until quit and another server chosen. sometimes an electrum server does not keep up with demand. 
you can choose servers manually or rely on the application to rotate them

I thought I read somewhere that the Trezor team doesn't plan to release a second version of the Trezor. I can't remember exactly where I read it, but I wouldn't have my hopes up for an updated version.

In case it helps others, I just bought a Trezor from CoinCadence on Amazon.  Very fast shipping and I am impressed with product now that it's working.  But I did have the problem others have mentioned, when I tried to set up the Trezor all I got was "Get started!Connect your TREZOR device to the computer."  On this thread others solved the problem with switching USB cables and not using the one that came with the device.  I went through a number of USB cables and nothing worked, I started to think I had a defective device...but finally I tried one last USB cable and it worked perfect.  If your Trezor has this issue, keep cycling through different USB cables, it might help.  Now mine works fine with its preferred cable.

During restore the words have to be typed on a computer. I know fake words are used in case spyware is around but once I've typed them, it doesn't seem as safe as when the device creates a fresh set. (I'm sure it's still a big search space though)

Would making a list of bip39 words with an associated 4-digit number (perhaps with leading 0's out and repeating digits removed) and using the pin pad screen just type in the seed using the pin pad and numbers? Each word would be 4-clicks on the mouse and the spyware never learns any of the words.

Randomizing the sequence of each word on input, the word number to enter is displayed on the trezor, basically is the same thing. Don't worry.

The device is pretty much perfect!!! The only things I feel are missing:

-some type of community for trezor users similar to community.coinbase.com
(right now the only choices are here and reddit) It would also provide a good resource for developers of trezor firmware and people who just want to help other trezor users learn

The community group would also help for users who are using the trezor on software not made by satoshilabs.

-the documentation for the device seems a little technical. (Perhaps a quick visual guide online instead?) Making a bunch of videos like www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hvLcfJ6DFE and making one for EVERY trezor task would do wonders for people who are not technically inclined!

Overall though, I'm impressed. I will recommend everyone I encounter to buy one.

I'm real happy the backend upgrades were made, balances have been loading instantly recently, unlike before it was a bit hit and miss.

Gary and I have just released an updated MultiBit HD beta (0.0.6beta) that is compatible with the Trezor 1.3.0 firmware.
