I asked Vladimir about availability of issue #1. He said they should be available a bit "later": Hi Mark,
There are only temporarily difficulties with stock of #1. There is still a reasonable amount of copies of #1 unsold, we just do not have prompt access to them at this time.
Unless you want it urgently I would suggest just wait and you should be able to buy it later.

His comment does not imply he printed more than 2 thousand copies.
For all we know it just means issue #1 is not completely sold out.
