I can find a lot of people who have lost a lot of money gambling, people who have hit big jackpots, but I haven't heard of people who gamble regular and are profiting? They must exist right? I'm hoping some of those people can post.  I just want to know that those people exist.

I personally have hits some Jackpots, I posted them here www.MoBtcs.com , but overall i'm down, currently about 180 BTC over the past year

180 BTC?Huh W.o.w

You are really need some therapy now.
Unfortunately i also got loss on gamble, i got quite bit profit on the first time, but when i start to play serious on gamble. Boom.. i loss a lot.

Now, i already retire from gamble with big bet. I cannot get all my losses money back with that tecniques.
I just play for loss now. I always think gambling is "pay for entertainment" game.

Almost loss 10 BTC.

Here is my win line so far playing micro-stakes cash games poker on Betcoin.ag since February of this year.

Over 60 thousand+ hands I have a win rate of 10.4 bb/100 (big blinds per 100 hands)

Note that the money figures are actually mbtc, not "$". The poker tracking software I use (HEM2) doesn't recognize btc or mbtc so just assigns "$" to the units. So my net winnings so far are 761.14 mbtc or 0.76114 btc over 60K+ hands, not including my deposit bonus, rakeback or freeroll winnings. When you add those in, it bumps up my total earnings to just over 1.1 btc. I'm nowhere near baller status like some other players on the site, but hey, it's profit. And I'll be moving up to higher stakes soon where my win rate will be expected to go down, but the amount I earn will go up (hopefully).

Prior to starting playing full time on Betcoin.ag I played on seals before they changed to swc. HEM2 isn't supported by swc so I don't have any stats to show from my time there, but I estimate I made somewhere between 3-4 btc also playing microstakes poker over a few hundred thousand hands.

That looks like a very good progress. By the way I'm curious, does HM works on btc poker rooms?
I used it a long time ago, but usualy it only worked in the well know poker rooms.

As for profit, I have some im poker and sportsbetting, but all made outside the btc world, since I only made the "shift" recently.

It's a beautiful chart. Start from 50 mBtc and now you're on 800 mBtc.
I never track my poker game with these 'chart software'.

How can i get it? HEM2, i will try to search it on google.
And i would be appreciate if you can give me know how to download it.

I think I read somewhere that winning at a casino your best bet would be to go with poker or sportbets... But I'm not sure of the source.

It would be nice if you really win that money.  Smiley
Do not just try playin dice on one site, you can crypto-games.net instead just play on dadice, primedice, satoshidice etc.

great graph bro , your win rate is really amazing . I don't play cash games but many good players say that 5bb/100 hand is a great win rate so you are killing it mate
hopefully we see more graphs here from other members , cause if you noticed there are many people here think that poker is a pure luck game

Thanks, man. Just wanted to help show long term profit is possible.

Thats Great, that you are still in the Green! How much do you think your win rate would change if you were playing high stakes rather then micro stakes? Its still the same game regardless of stakes right? So is it because the players you are up against get that much better? Or are there other factors?

Thank you. To your question of how I think my win rate would change if I were playing high stakes rather than micro-stakes, well, if I were to go from micro-stakes to high stakes right now, today and assuming I had the bankroll for it, I would guess that my win rate would be abysmal, as in some negative number: -XXX.x bb/100. No joke. lol

Note, that there are stake levels between micro stakes and high stakes: Nose bleeds > High stakes > Mid stakes > Low stakes > Micro stakes And within each stakes there are four or more level increments. Going from micro straight to high stakes is a huge jump.

Yes, it's the same game regardless of stakes in terms of mechanics. But it is nowhere near the same game as far as level of play and opponent skill, generally speaking. At higher stakes you will still see recreational players, but mostly you will find higher skilled/more experienced ones. At higher stakes you see more aggressive, sophisticated and adaptive playing styles.

So yes, the players who play at higher stakes, in general, are that much better. They study the game continuously, they know the maths and odds of each type of poker situation, they study their own past hands to fix their weaknesses and study opponents hands so as to exploit their weaknesses.

My win rate of 10.4 bb/100 over 60k+ hands indicates that I should move up in stakes where my win rate will be expected to decrease, but the amount of money I earn (compared to the micros) will be higher.

That looks like a very good progress. By the way I'm curious, does HM works on btc poker rooms?
I used it a long time ago, but usualy it only worked in the well know poker rooms.

Thank you. To answer your question, as far as I know, the only btc poker room that HEM2 (Hold'em Manager 2) works for is betcoin.ag poker, which is what I am using it on. I don't think it works on swc poker (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and I don't know about the other btc poker sites since I've never tried them.

The old HM is no longer supported and not sure if HM works for any btc poker rooms. But HEM2 does.

It's a beautiful chart. Start from 50 mBtc and now you're on 800 mBtc.
I never track my poker game with these 'chart software'.

How can i get it? HEM2, i will try to search it on google.

Thanks for the kind words.

Hold'em Manager 2 : http://www.holdemmanager.com/buy/211/holdem-manager-2

It costs $99.99 US for the pro version which works for all stakes levels. They do accept bitcoin for payment. There is also a smaller stakes version for cheaper, but you will only be able to use it for the smaller stakes. They also have a version for Omaha.

If you want to try it out first before you buy it, they have a 30 day free trial version which you can download from their site.

But before you decide to buy or try it, make sure that the site you play poker on supports it. (The only btc site that I know it works on is betcoin.ag) You can check on HEM2's website and forum which poker sites support it. See link above. It has more features to it than just charting your wins/losses that will help you improve your game which are all explained on their website.

It may seem to cost a lot, but it is more than worth it. It pretty much pays for itself and if you plan on long term profits, it's essential.

To download, you just click the download button. There may be a few tweaks you need to make on installation in order to get it to work, but they have all that covered in their troubleshooting support. I'm no HEM2 tech expert, but if you still need help with it, I'd be happy to. Just send me a PM.

Hope that helps. Good Luck!

If you ask me, my biggest win was 0.015 on Primedice. I never gamble with big amounts, only with that I can afford to lose. My overall profit is minus 0.1 approximately. Not so bad. I think I'm a lucky gambler, if I lost only 0.1 from more than a year of gambling. )

junko , what a great explanation, it makes me realize why I loose when I play poker, lol

But it does make me think that I might have better luck bankrolling someone for a percentage.

I'm assuming that people do that sometimes right?

I have won 1 btc from NitrogenSports Dice, won over 1 btc from some MP apps, won some and lost some small amounts on a few other sites like LB, PD and Safedice, and lost some on sports betting. My net profit up to this point should probably be a few bitcoin.

Nothing! I am down 0.5 BTCs altogether. Yes, one time I was up but then I become greedy and lost it all. I should probably stop gambling altogether but I just can't resist, especially when there is Euroleague basketball, so that means every Thursday and Friday.

What can I say, I am just playing for my own pleasure.

Honestly it's best when you are playing for your own pleasure. So if you win its a plus, but when you loose it's not devistating.

Once you start playing you start betting more then you can afford, you end up down, 180 BTC like me lol.

But i'm still waiting to see if anyone out there is in the inverse situation, and is up 180 BTC or in that range.

It's all part of the learning curve that all poker players go through. But now that you realize why, you also now know it is possible to improve your skills like others have done. Smiley

As far as bankrolling or staking someone else, it is a very common practice in poker. But you have to know what you're doing if you stake someone else. If you stake the wrong person, they could be scamming you and you will end up getting "rolled" - when the person you stake/bankroll wins, but doesn't pay you back according to the terms of the staking deal.

Personally, I don't get involved in the staking/being staked game. My number one rule in poker/gambling is never borrow or lend money and never stake or get staked. I like to keep things simple and as stress-free as possible when I play. Worrying about paying someone back or someone paying me back is just annoying and I know it would affect my game - for me, at least. I know other people who do it all the time and have no problems. I just prefer to play within my bankroll.

Well said. A lot of gamblers do not understand gambling is a zero sum game, with the house always on the advantageous side and gamblers on the disadvantageous side. It doesn't mean gamblers will always lose, but they are likely to lose and should expect to lose.
