Will I lose my wallet if I reinstall? I have Bitcoins waiting to be transferred to my client but It seems my Bitcoin client is stuck and not downloading blocks. Will my Bitcoins not recognize my address once I delete and reinstall? Thanks for your help!

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Make sure you keep the wallet.dat file. That's about it.

Your bitcoin client is probably "stuck" because it is having difficulty connecting to the IRC channel where it finds other clients it can connect to in the network.  There has been so much interest in bitcoin lately that it can take an hour or more to establish some solid connections, and then another couple of hours to download blocks.  So, I would recommend you just be patient.

Well I have had this problem for the last 24 hours  Undecided.  Somehow  I can't find my wallet.dat file now? Looked for hidden files and still no luck. Will my bitcoins eventually come to me or have they been lost by now?

Back up wallet.dat just because you should, but a reinstall should not overwrite it.
