Senior Europol officer warns traffickers are exploiting people’s desperation, forcing them into prostitution and slave labour

Vulnerable refugees trudging across Europe in search of sanctuary are being preyed upon by organised criminal gangs intent on forcing them into prostitution and slave labour, one of Europe’s most senior police officers has warned. “Modern, enterprising, organised criminal gangs go where the opportunity is high and the risk is low,” Brian Donald, Europol’s chief of staff, told an international conference on human trafficking in Madrid at the weekend.

Unaccompanied children are at particular risk, Donald told delegates including the Metropolitan police commissioner, Bernard Hogan-Howe, who said more had to be done by the UK to fight trafficking. Only 10 out 43 police forces in England and Wales have specialist anti-trafficking units.

The onset of winter is worsening the desperate plight of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children, many of whom are fleeing the civil war in Syria. As the European Union struggles to deal with the influx of refugees, their need for money makes them susceptible to unscrupulous gangs operating along routes, in refugee centres and in destination countries.

Migrants were being “identified for exploitation, especially those of a young age, young women, the unaccompanied”, with prostitution and illegal labour being the most likely outcomes, Donald told the Santa Marta conference, organised by the Catholic church.

Everyone expected this to happen. Young people without family in foreign country, they are just prey for predators. Without nothing they will easily join to some group that offers protection and some way to earn money (smaller in beginning, and bigger when they prove them self to someone). This is not good thing, and I dont believe that goverment will find a way to do something about it. So in future we can expect some big shit to happen.

And in the summer it´s light around the clock almost. I´ve played golf in Iceland after midnight no problem at all. I guess all this light could screw with peoples´ sleeping.

So, cold and dark in winter and pretty cold and very bright in summer. It has to act as some sort of defense mechanism against these hordes. At any rate it´s a very radical change in environment.

I have yet to understand how a lonely child could be able to successfully venture thousands of km outside of his home, in foreign countries where people speak unknown languages, all by himself. I guess those children were following others, so the best should be to keep on following them. Or could it be that those people, those friends, the child was following, would turn out to be criminals, who would later exploit him or her?

Needless to say; the Syrians and others have emptied prisons and asylums into this stream.

Sometimes, parents and relatives perish on the way. Not unheard of, is it?
Even otherwise, there could be large families which get separated.

Well, it probably comes as a big surprise to western politicians and presstitutes and those who take them seriously but there´s actually lots of criminals and deviants in those societies that we´re dying to save from themselves. But it´s all put under the same hat in the news, it´s all persecution whether it´s political dissidents, thieves, murderers, rapists etc. That is why it´s always so easy for those so called tyrants and dictators and what have you to dump their refuse on us.

Assimilation will not occur when the new immigrants began to outnumber the natives. On the other hand, at this point the migrant culture will become dominant and the natives will start assimilating in to this alien culture. The European Union officials are predicting that a total of 4 million Muslim migrants will arrive in Germany by the end of 2016. At this rate, very few of them are going to assimilate in to the German culture. They will set up their own ghettos, and these zones will become no-go areas for the native Germans.
