DB going down would be a massive blow to the general economy.

Probably, it is not even allowed to fail, it will be saves by the government / EU , but that will take some serious, serious cash to turn those numbers around.
It is definitely too big to fail. I wouldn't even consider such option.
Nevertheless, news like that is definitely playable and may add fuel to a speculative growth, like the one we are just witnessing.

I agree as well.  DB is TBTF.  Their government will not allow it, the bank will be saved.

That does not mean that savers or account holders there will be!  A "Bail-In" (account holders would lose some of their money -- THAT happened in Cyprus) is very possible, perhaps probable.

Anyone with money at DB should think about taking some out and putting it elsewhere (gold, Bitcoin, CA$H at home, etc.).

Be careful what you wish for.
Last time a major bank failed it spread around the world, next time it could be worse.

Yes, I was thinking to it could spread out of the globe to all parts of the universe....

There's debt EVERYWHERE!

BITCOIN TO THE MOON
thanks to the stupidity of the bankers the Bitcoin will take a flight launch soon. hope they get their acts straight soon though. Feel bad for the people who lose their hard earned money to such.

Agreed. If it turns out that Deutsche Bank owns 1 million BTC and needs to sell them to settle their debt it doesn't look so nice for us.

yeah they would certainly dump it all on stamp just like the FBI did  Grin
