Actually I don't think crypto will ever replace fiat, I think they will co-exist to serve different purposes.

What is your opinion?

It has the necessary tools, but I doubt that happens in the world in which we live .

No, it won't. No governments would allow that to happen.

Under construction.

This.
And it really IS impossible in today's world for Bitcoin (or any other altcoin) to replace fiat currency.  Not in the next 100 years at least.
There is too many things that common people use fiat for and I don't see them switching to Bitcoin any time soon.

Both fiat and Bitcoin have its advantages. Use them together.

Replacement of Fiat? Don't think so....but being a "buddy" of fiat is definitely going to happen. Expect BTC and a few others being accepted at major retailers like Walmart.

My thinking match with yours, they will co-exist . Recently, Sweden has been announced as a country which has no currency use anymore.

Maybe in some small countries but not the world. The Powers that is controlling the World would not let this to happen until they are defeated.

Not really no-currency. But they are thinking of making their country cashless... What we have to realize, it's going to take a LONG time.

I think all currency will become digital at some point in the future. Wouldn't be surprised if it happened within our lifetime either. I think it will have to be based on crypto too otherwise people could probably fake it but governments will still probably issue or control it.

Maybe sometime in the future, IMO the more realistic goal now is getting some global adaptation and acceptance for BTC.
