Case in point, just look at a couple of weeks ago, full of replies like this everywhere: I doubt the price will even hit $400 by 2016 And now suddenly, everything seems possible again. What im seeing is, don't be scared to think that we could hit 1k, 2k, 3k.. by 2016. It's perfectly doable. More and more people will learn how to use Bitcoin to their advantage. It only takes a handful of whales to want to move their capital across continues to skyrocket the price because the marketcap is tiny. And once this happens, the average joe will want to get in too because of fear of missing out. Past a point only idiots that still don't understand the importance of Bitcoin will not own some.

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

That's actually conservative

That's actually conservative now let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, lets start a poll on if bitcoin will reach $450 in december sorry by the time i posted this bitcoin hit 450, let's vote on this new poll $500 before december okay $550 before december.

We can reach higher higs indeed.
Even if you don't trust BTC, trust in the power of manipulation, because the BTC market is small and easy to manipulate

More back in time.... Seeing the mtgox price at $2.75 has got me depressed, wishing I'd bought coins back in December.
But it has me thinking - what is the average cost, today, to create a bitcoin? I know it can't be anywhere near $2.75.

Actually no. Those insane prices are not possible. At least not sustainable. The protocol doesn't support the adoption level that is required to sustain prices like 1k.
