USAA users and staff now can check their bitcoin balance via the company's app
USAA, the leading financial institution providing American military with insurance, banking and investment services, has partnered Coinbase for a pilot project to let its employees and a limited group of customers view their Coinbase bitcoin balances via USAA apps.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

A nice and positive development.

Users of the app who are not involved in bitcoin is sure to take note and it might just peak their interest in bitcoin which in turn might drive more adoption among those users.

Other entities will sure take note of what the USAA did.

That is a kind of promotion of bitcoin as somebody does not know bitcoin will know bitcoin and gain interest out of the new service.

After the successful pilot study, hope they will extend it to all users.
