Do you think signature Campaigns will still continue when btc goes  $800 ? Will the Campaigns runner will offer low price than now ?

There has already been a time when Bitcoin was at $800 and the campaigns still ran. Might add, at higher rates than some campaigns are currently trying to push on people. The sad thing is people accept the lower rates so other campaigns will do the same and chances are that they will not raise them when the price goes back to high $200's. They was quick to drop the rates, now we have lost $120+ from when rates were decreased and no increase in rates for said campaigns. Shame people allow it  Cheesy

The signature campaigns will continue when the bitcoin price rises. But the pay rate will stay the same or higher in US dollar terms. The bitcoin rate will drop accordingly.

If bitcoin prices goes up then even more bitcoin related services will come and you may see more signature campaigns also. But surely you will get same $ values in coins when prices goes up. Last week couple signature campaign already reduce their pay per post prices based on bitcoin prices but in $ it may be same.

Hey guys , this is the latest example about what we are talking  here. Check out this topic of a signature Campaign. Topic link = https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1237314.0

They are now offering $0.20 ( 0.0004040 Btc / post to senior members ). Its all bcoz of bit coin prices went up.

That's a nice idea to control the payrate at this kind of situation but then what if bitcoin has suddenly drop right on schedule of the sig. campaigns payout?
Not a nice idea. This is a bitcoin forum so it should be paid in BTC to show the meaning of what this place is.
As I mentioned in another thread, it is not the manager's decision for what the rates are that is up to the company that is paying them for organizing their advertising here.

Yes signature will still continue maybe with a lower price per post.
It's the same system for the faucet, try to follow freebitcoin for example, they adjust every time the price of revenue by follow a minim of 0,002 $ for each click (500 satoshi so far actually ) but sometimes hit 300 satoshi or 1000 …following the price rail of btc.

I think they just adjust the price of the posts to reflect the price of bitcoin. The casinos and other services need customers.

There is no doubt that the signature campaigns will continue.
But there will be more mess like it was this week for most campaigns.
And of course the rates will be less but good enough when converting to usd.

I don't think the fiat conversion matters. All the companies that have signature campaigns deal ONLY in bitcoin. They require bitcoin be used to pay for their services and they pay signature campaign participants in bitcoin. The fiat price doesn't matter!
funny you say that, because the company youre advertising for, bit-x, is an exchange that, wait for it, not only deals with bitcoin, but fiat too. you know, because theyre an exchange. holy shit. ground breaking discovery. call the fucking news.
do feel free to take more than 3 seconds to think up of a reply before spamming next time. bitcoin doesnt rule the world right now, and weather you or these businesses like it or not, fiat currency will play a factor and impact their decision making.

now lets take a good look at that sig for the people that are incapable of reading:
holy
fucking
shit
it has dollars, euros, and british pounds. theyre *gasp* not bitcoin. who wouldve guessed.

The biggest thing that will ruin signature campaigns is if users exploit the privilege and post bullshit, non-constructive posts. Let's keep the posts of a high quality - loose lips sink sigs!
bullshit

Wow, you really got me there. Seriously, good point. But your sarcasm wasn't needed and it doesn't prove my point wrong (maybe think for 4 seconds before you reply with a rebuttal.)

My point still stands, the increase in the fiat conversion to bitcoin would not lead to these businesses shutting down or not getting the value out of this type of advertising. If anything their business should improve as that growth in price brings more attention (and hopefully users) to the currency.

One thing that that's still really shitty (but unrelated to the OP) is this past week's very short boost in price is the catalyst to cut payments to the people that are gathering their customers. It's bad business, but I guess these companies don't need to represent any loyalty to their advertisers.

They might, or they might go for the "MagicalDice" route. A certain amount in a fiat currency per post, so the payments aren't as volatile. Better and worse for us, can only be better for them. Ugh, I really hope BTC doesn't hit $800, or these first-world problems will come up.

looking for a signature campaign, dm me for that

Actually when btc used to reach the $1000 level signature campaign is still alive on this forum, even they are paying much higher than now Tongue
So i doubt signature campaigns will just gone like that, they still someone to promote their websites Roll Eyes
They will likely reduce their payouts, that's all nothing more Wink

Yes that is correct, if prices really go very high then pay per post in terms of dollars will be same but they will adjust bitcoin quantity accordingly otherwise it will be loss for them so even though bitcoin prices go more than 2000+ also these signature campaign will be there to get a customers for their services.

When do you think merchants will stop thinking of their gain or loss in terms of fiat?

People here talk about Bitcoin becoming "the world's currency"...that can never happen when everyone is anchoring their value of bitcoin in terms of what they can get for it when the sell it for fiat.

Perhaps we're all a bunch of hypocrites?
