bitcoin price dosent reflect if signature campaigns will go ON or OFF.
they will go ON as long as they (the advertiser) make money from them.

Hey guys , this is the latest example about what we are talking  here. Check out this topic of a signature Campaign. Topic link = https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1237314.0

They are now offering $0.20 ( 0.0004040 Btc / post to senior members ). Its all bcoz of bit coin prices went up.

That's a nice idea to control the payrate at this kind of situation but then what if bitcoin has suddenly drop right on schedule of the sig. campaigns payout?

To my understanding all payments will be calculated to the price of btc at the time of payment with Magical Dice.

They still continued when Bitcoin went over $1000, in fact back then most of them did not cut back in an amount that was equal to the price rise of BTC so most people were still better off. That's just talking based on a historical perspective, people might be a bit more tight now. Wink

In old times, we knew how much bitcoin we would get in a week. Now we know how much USD we will get, but paid out in bitcoin, the value is uncertain.

In the next few weeks, if bitcoin price drop, we shall get more coins.

I also think advertisers will simply use google adsense like service after lot of people used to know and have some bitcoin. This have already started to happen with bitrefill doing excessive promotion in adsense in bitcoin niche sites (only one example). But this forum is first place to talk about bitcoin and have larger user base who have lots of bitcoin in their hand. Gambling sites will stick with bitcointalk signature campaign as they are not allowed on adsense and some other adnetworks.

A higher price indicates increased interest so it would be a daffy move to shut down whatever campaign you were running if interest surged. I'm surprised so many continued during the extended lull as I can't imagine much fresh meat was coming on board. As for rates, I assume many are paying out as they earn so there has to be a reflection in that if obtaining coins costs more.

Signature campaigns will continue till they can afford paying their members and it is irrespective of the price as they can easily set the price in terms of USD.  So till they earn profit from the posts, the BTC price doesn't matter. In fact Bit-x and other exchange websites who have their campaigns running would benefit if the price increases but they do need to keep adjusting rates per post from time to time.

Well adwords does allow gambling sites to advertise themselves on the network but they strictly control it. You'd have to apply a certain certification on gambling related content on them. Not to mention the country restrictions.

They have a beta program for non-casino games, like fantasy sports or even chess.

The fact that bitcoin casino sites directly earn bitcoin, I think some of them would be generous with their sig campaigns.

Well the recent price surge has given us the answers, campaigns will continue at no matter what price but  the rates will be decreased accordingly.

Almost all of the signature campaigns have decreased their rates after this current price surge.

When Bitcoin price hit up $800 or $8000 will come even more signature campaigns. Price reflects demand and popularity. The more people get interested in Bitcoin the more advertising will be profitable.

Its possible with more people interested in bitcoin, could create new companies on bitcoin ecosystem that need publicity and start new signature campaigns. But i expect lower rates.

This. I expect as bitcoin get's more popular the companies with a good history and reputation will no longer need to pay for signatures on forums as they'll get more free advertising just from word of mouth. I expect how well bitcoin signature campaigns pay will largely depend more on the popularity of bitcoin then the price. As bitcoin becomes more popular I think they'll shift to other means of advertising and as raimonn pointed out new companies will come on the scene looking for ways to expand their business. With all that said I think gambling sites will always have some sort of signature campaign presence on the site from the number of users I've seen claiming they gamble btc on a daily/weekly basis.

I think if signature like as Dice (Magicaldice, 777coin, etc) still get a many customer, that is still can giving offer earning that's same like without change of first price.

sadly to say but it is not working that way. and the others r getting hit as well even thought it is still dice website.

I think they will, if BTC gets too high, they might lower the payout instead.

They will be still here but with some sort of rate adjustments in which if the rates as result are not somehow fixed then I'm afraid it might even lead to some members spamming just so they can keep up with the rates before but if everything is fixed from start (ex. $0.20 per post in BTC) then no matter the change of bitcoin value, everything would stay the same and less chances of others spamming the forums at least....

i guess they still need the advertisement they need but like what the others say, they will either change to fiat payment or lower the btc payment accordingly cause they r on a tight budget. do take note that all these signature campagin is not a big company to begin with.

Signature campaigns are still effective when talking about advertising. Even if it goes above $1000, it would continue but the rates would be lowered and perhaps posts could be limited too. They wouldn't be gone anytime soon.

Do you think signature Campaigns will still continue when btc goes  $800 ? Will the Campaigns runner will offer low price than now ?

I think it will continue, but if btc price can reach up to $800 maybe some signature campaign will lowering their per post payment.
Actually when btc price on $1,200 on Nov 2013. Signature Campaign already run on bitcointalk.org
