Hello All,
I was not able to monitor what is happening in the Bitcoin and Altcoin worlds the last 2-3 months and I am really excited to hear that BTC is going up again.
Anyway, The thing what I want to ask is that I have office with 20 laptops which can be running 24/7 without paying for electricity, the thing is most of them are brand new, but are brand Acer 100 or Hp 250 which is something really basic for mining.
My question is: Do you have any suggestions of what I can mine with them or what I can do to get some new coins or any altcoin on the market right now?
I will also need help from someone may be to help me configure all of them for which I can pay.
Please share your comments and your thoughts about such situation, what can I do?
THANK IN ADVANCE!

Best Regards,

Gondel

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

No, their gpus are integrated and will be crap for mining I think. Isnt primecoin already very hard for mining and also too cheap? I used to mine Primecoin in 2013 with 10 laptops with i5 intel and I had some coins back then on very high price, then I decided not to sell them and keep them and I saw how Primecoin is going into the garbage...

I think Prime will be holding or rising in the future. However nothing of course is certain.

Your laptops i think will be only any use with cpu only coins. There are probably others that are cpu only it is just a case of tracking the most profitable of those down. Prime was the only cpu only coin that I remember.

From a hardware point of view: you are going to kill the laptops at a seriously accelerated rate.
Running GPU or CPU at 100% for extended periods will also lead to heat issues, not to mention the effect on batteries.

If no-one is going to object, do it, but if you haven't mentioned this idea to your office manager, expect to get shouted at in 6 months time. Angry

You should use MinerGate, it mines CPU and GPU if it's available, and has built in features to be hidden from the main screen, and to be run as a service / hidden command prompt etc

Coinwarz let you monitor the most profitable coins of the moment.
http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency

However for CPU there are not many coins that can usefull for this cause.

Burstcoin let you do HD mining (with your harddrive) but you have to create some plots first.

Check burstcoin here http://burstcoin.info/

With 20 laptops, you could easily mine XMG (Coin Magi) which is a CPU minable crypto currency. I think it would be the most efficient way to mine an alt coin and exchange it to Bitcoins by then. Hope this helps.  Smiley
