I agree my friend and 0.50 would be very nice which I think has huge potential to achieve in the next 6 to 12 months from now. I've noticed a few POS coins are rising nicely lately which is great to see and maybe one day we'll see MOIN up there in the top 50 crypto currencies at a price of $1+

Fortnightly Update





Hello all. I'm in a good flow work-wise and there's lots to do so I'll keep this brief. The above graphic (thanks crz!) shows the estimated progress on the 3 core components of The Platform. They're numbered in the order that I'll be working on and expect to release them. An implicit fourth step will involve combining them. Like "The Platform", "mApp" (MOIN App) is just a term we're using for the sake of the discussion - I don't think we'll use it for the actual finished products.

Over the last two weeks I've fixed our unit tests and have been working on mApp 1 and in between on the sell alert system. The alert system should hopefully be finished in time for the next update. As there's no real consensus as to what constitutes a significant sell order, those receiving alerts via email (and possibly IRC) can specify the trigger amount. Axllht has been busy reworking and refining his wallet design as well as working on revamping discovermoin.com.

In light of the worrying news regarding the British Government forcing companies to put backdoors into encrypted messaging services, I'll be giving some thought to ways in which we could extend the privacy-protecting capabilities of MOIN.

I know lol I can't believe it myself that the prize is now worth around $400 USD it just goes to show that MOIN has been growing nicely in price for many months and I believe it will continue to grow for many months/years to come. Fortnightly Sunday Update





Not much to report today. I lost a good chunk of time due to being essentially without internet for about a week. Very frustrating. The alert system is all but done though, I just need to hook it up to Mailgun and run a few tests. I've been working on mApp 1 too but I'm not sure I got enough done to warrant adding another completed step so I've left the graphic as it was for now.

Axllht's made good progress with the website redesign, Jookly's been looking into ways he can use his newly honed skills to contribute and crz got a great deal on the Twin Peaks seasons 1 & 2 blu-ray boxset. So all is well! I'll post again with all the info once the alert system is fully up and running. ¡Hasta luego amigos!

Thanks KingCaper for the mini update. I checked coinmarketcap and got excited when I saw the MOIN price at over $0.13 USD but I see most of the trading action has been done on C-cex exchange so that makes me think they put MOIN up for delisting again? I don't know because I don't use them any more but this is normally the case when we see the MOIN price shoot up and most of the trading volume is done on C-cex exchange. Anyway I've been buying some MOIN each week building on my stack and am continuing to earn staking rewards each week which is around 50+ MOIN coins a week now YAY!!!! I still think MOIN is a sleeping giant which will one day explode out of nowhere.

I saw that spike on c-cex you noticed too Vella.  They are not in the middle of a delist so it must have been for some other reason.  Maybe we can hope  that it is a sign of things to come!

The team consists of KingCaper who is the developer. Axllht, and crz are on the team as designers.  I am also on the team and try to help answer questions and organize events for the community.

I cannot give you any solid timeframe for completion of the platform.  If you look back through the posts you can see KingCaper's recent updates regarding that.  What you find there is the most recent information.

Okay thanks for letting me know about C-cex as I thought that the price going up on there was to keep MOIN listed but as you say it wasn't then that is a good sign. I also picked up a few more MOIN when it went down just the other day and took advantage of the blood bath that was going on in crypto. Now MOIN is back up to where it was so I'm glad I picked up a few more MOIN on the cheap.

You are correct that the blockchain download can take some time to synch from scratch.  You can also use the bootstrap file to speed things up https://github.com/MOIN/MOIN-Bootstrap .  That allows you to download the majority of the chain via http and means less synching time for the client.

For your address question you will want to usually use your default address.  Stealth addresses are for MOINX transactions and will not send or receive "regular" MOIN

I hear you and it would be cool to get MOIN on some services like changely or shapeshift but exchanges are also very common way to get crypto currencies currently.  You can withdraw from the exchange to your MOIN wallet.  If you need help with the process of withdrawing from a particular exchange I can help guide you through that.  Let me know.
