I think there is people here that actively play poker for sure. I wonder is it possible to organize one. It would be nice if we can organize some tournament with some buy in like 0.0005 btc or less, maybe more ( depends how serious playes would like to play). I don`t know did u ever think about it, I search for similar thead but i couldn`t find. For sure that can be interesting, to test skills between us and to see who is the best poker player here.

Betcoin.AG has been kind enough to host a tournament for us.

Some of you may say why betcoin.ag and not another poker site?
or why a 11mBTC buyin?
or why this specific time?

I feel this is the meet-in-the-middle solution!

I'd be interested as well. Poker sites support multiple players already so it must be great if one of these poker sites sponsor such event and help planing it.

The problem with this idea is you will see alot of users say theyre interested but hardly any of them would show up. You gotta realize that half the ppl or more who post on here are only doing so because of the signature they are wearing.

The second problem is finding a place to host the tourney if by some miracle you get 10-20 guys interested who decide to actually play. MOst sites that i know of dont make a special tourney for a group.

Problem number 3 is you cannot decide whos the best poker player over the course of 1 tourney. You can find out who is the best THAT day but thats about it. Anyways good luck trying to organize this as i doubt youll have any luck

We can ask people to pay some amount as a guarantee he will show up, if he doesnt show up then the guarantee amount will go to the winner pot instead

The second problem is finding a place to host the tourney if by some miracle you get 10-20 guys interested who decide to actually play. MOst sites that i know of dont make a special tourney for a group.

I think luckyflop will want to help with this imo, so problem 2 could be considered solved

We would happily host this tournament with whatever buyin, time, and other specifics you all decide.  The tournament could be password protected or strictly ticket entry.  We look forward to your feedback.

I think it is possible but the most important thing is about the time of the tournament because of different timezone. Its hard to find the best time that appropriate to all players.

Do you mean to have a bitcointalk users only poker tourny? I am up for it. Though there are already many tournaments that keep on taking place but still it would be fun to play. Where would you like to organize this tourny?

You can try but I don't think it will work, a lot of poker sites have tournaments everyday, paid as well as freerolls but usually people prefer to play the freerolls and no one enters the paid ones. Also, not every one is on same time zone, so not everyone can be available at same time.

There could be multiple tournaments at the following weeks and people could choose when to participate. The reason of no people participating would be the high amount of players needed, therefore if a small tournament of atleast 4 people could be arranged than its all good

If this goes a head try find a poker room which doesn't use Mavern Software as it is possible for the owner of the site to see all the hole cards on the tables.

I guess swc and betcoin.ag are a few good sites where this can happen. Don't know if they are on maven, but they are pretty good imo.

hello

we right now offering a Hold'em All-In contest and looking for minimum of 10 registered users to get it started.

it is always All-In and for the lucky ones. the regular or pro holdem player might say that is not real poker. but the average player and non pro will enjoy the game.

please check out the contest details and info link

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1239348.msg12903430#msg12903430

we offer to all users who posted in this thread before us "A free bet" to get a better understanding for our unique game and please let me explain the free bet in short.

we have a 10 seat table. our Mod toto will place a bet of 500 bits on 9 seats against the seat you will tell him to bet against. if the seat you told the Mod lost we will lose the coins and  not you that means it was a free bet.

if one of the 9 seats will win you will get the profit of this bet. in case the Royal Flush Jackpot is hit we will split the Jackpot 162430 bits with you

good luck

Please check my Scam Accusation against Blackjack.fun to be always up to date

If you wanna play a poker tourny so bad why not do it on one of the existing poker sites?

Im not sure what you don't understand.  We want to play each other, not randoms on the internet. I don't want to 'play so bad'.  I want to play my peers here....  We can always go play a tournament with randoms, but it would be fun to play against others here.  Hence this post.  That help you understand?

I think the idea was to select the page on which such a meeting can be arranged. All visitors of this section know that there are sites where tournaments are held.

I prefer Seals With Clubs even though the software has been giving me problems almost everytime I login and tried explaining the situation on their thread but it hasn't been resolved.

Let the user who would want to sponsor the even to create the page. This way it can attract more attention to anyone in the forum and maybe acquire more sponsor for this event.
