Nice of them to include a link to the forums at the bottom of the page.

Shit.  Just noticed this on their "About Us" page.

Quote
Bitcointalks is owned and developed by the same company as Crypto X Change Kenseycol PTY LTD.

They've ripped that off the Mr Bitcoins website.

Time to try to get in touch with Ken and let him know about this, I guess.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

My antivir goes berserk when I even try to visit this page and blocks it entirely.

Definitely a scam / trojan site. Stay off.

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

You never agreed to my terms, that means we have no agreement about anything including privacy. Maybe next time you sign up for my website you will finish the sign up so you will be given all the rights of a normal member. But people who cookie cutter my business format to the T, will not yielded to in any sort of way.

Thanks

Slandering?  Legitimate?  Two weeks ago you were claiming to be operated by KenseyCol - a blatant and demonstrable lie.  Care to explain that?

Can you link this? I would like to read up more on this,  Wink

Our About Us page has never had any content on it. I still have yet to fill this section of our site out. I too would like to know where you saw this "operated by KenseyCol".

There is confusion here between bitcointalks.com and btcquick.com. The two sites are (I think) operated by different people. bitcointalks.com is clearly a scam. I don't know anything about btcquick.com.

From my investigations, the bitcointalks.com (and mtgix.com etc etc) are probably based in China, and the operators are university students there. Guess that explains why they have so much time to do these scams.  Undecided

They just spammed #bitcoin-otc-foyer
PayPal still showing bitcointalks.org@live.com at the checkout page...

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.
