It won't be fun seeing less Bitcoins come in per day -- but the USD/Bitcoin price has already begun to react. It's at 19 at the moment.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I learned that wait 20 days for the hardware isn't a big deal, even if my local prices are 40% higher. Next time i will purchase locally and start mining same day.

But with the new difficulty in mind, i expect that i'll get my investement back in one month or so, so not a big loss.

I'm still new to this so please bear with me.

Yes. In about 9-10 hours and it will change to 570000-580000 (blockexplorer estimate constantly increases atm).
So about 30% increase

Blocks/hour   12.59

74/12.59= roughly 6 hours till increase
