Seems me and a couple others fell for it. tmac667 sold me and a couple others some fake Netflix codes. He got me for 3BTC. Not sure what he got the other people for. I have sent several PM's and no reply, and he also closed the thread he used to sell the codes. I am not sure if this was intentional or not but once he got the BTC he stopped the PM's and posting. If you have had positive dealings with him let me know.

Ok I just saw this thread for the first time and I'm pretty surprised at people's reactions, I explained to the 3 people that this applies to the sutuation and offered a compromise. I've done many transactions on this forum before and these are the only 3 'bad' ones. What do you mean you and a couple others fell for it, you think I planned on Netflix invalidating the remaining codes that they sent out? It's not just my codes that aren't working its any codes, so I wouldn't recommend buying from the other guy that's selling them unless his are from a different promotion. I haven't received compensation for the bad codes from my source and although I requested a refund he refused to grant me 1 so the 50% refund I offered you guys is out of pocket. And holy shit I don't send him a 100 pms demanding money, for gods sake it wasn't a $1000 that I lost, I understand that's the price of doing business sometimes.

Who cares if you have or haven't received compensation? Nobody cares about the business between you and your source. If you sold bad codes, which you have admitted, you either refund 100% or get a scammer tag. Simple as that.

How are you surprised by my reaction. You sent me a code I PM'ed you right back saying they were no good and you didn't reply for over 16hrs. You admitted that the codes were invalidated before you sent them when you did reply. Then you offer 50% refund(which is not a refund it is a settlement) or a hacked account.

At the time I sent coin diver the code Netflix was still accepting them, I offered him 50% compensation as a good gesture. Although he's been pretty vocal I don't owe him shit.

... If he paid for a 1 year Netflix subscription, you owe him either a 1 year Netflix subscription or his payment back in full.

Your agreement was that he will send you BTC, and you will give him a code.

It DOESN'T MATTER that this source of yours messed up.  WE DON'T CARE.  If you don't want to be responsible, put a disclaimer saying that.

I can't believe he thinks 50% refund is acceptable.

Let's try this example out:  I order a new TV from Walmart.com for $1,200.  I get an email that says, "We regret to inform you that our supplier has not delivered the television to us in accordance with our contract terms, and we therefore will not be sending it to you.  Please accept a refund of $600.  Thanks for choosing Walmart.com!"

Good luck with that.

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

Most scumbags never do.  He's probably found some kind of way to rationalize to himself what he's doing to you guys is ok.

You guys should have read this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=119896.0 specifically line item #7.

Granted, I posted that in Lending which a lot of people don't read.  But since I began that thread, scamming has come to a screeching halt, whereas before there would be 2 or 3 per day.

He is also a member here: http://thebotnet.com/members/tmac667.html anyone with a login can go through his posts... or at least warn everyone there that he is a known scammer.

Here as well: http://www.talkptc.com

Seems to be a liberal (supports Obama), and lives within a short drive of Toronto.

Edit: here too http://steamybeauty.com/forum/ (NSFW)
