Just got forwarded here from another thread asking about virtual debit cards. And I'm curious about this Revolut which I keep seeing being mentioned, but on the website it seems you need a UK account to link everything up. Can anyone suggest something worldwide accepted, or at least for Asia? We have many virtual providers in India actually and even from before some countries like Indonesia but none of this work overseas, all for local merchants and with very low limits, which I have given up on.

Exbase.se advertised above the website is no longer valid, so I'm stuck for options.

As far as I know there's no way of depositing or withdrawing crypto with Revolut. You buy their holdings with your bank account but you never have any access to it nor can you add your own. That makes it irrelevant. They've also gone on an account freezing kick recently.

It might have changed but I seriously doubt it. They'll be committed to sucking up to UK banks who wouldn't have them if horrible real crypto infected them.

You mean exba.se? It seems to work but those morons cheerfully admitted that dark market operators use their accounts and cards to cash out so they just painted a giant target on their own forehead.

Who knows If the new services are worth trying? TenX, Monaco, Centra (I read somewhere It's a scam) and MoxyOne? It's funny how we've multiple services that serve for the same purpose but they don't manage to deliver any promised.

TenX had working cards in the past, some say. But now they are going slow and they have a huge waiting list with people that have already paid for the cards.
Monaco is quite strange in my eyes: if you want a proper card you may have to keep a number of tokens locked for 6 months (I don't know starting when). I also don't know of working cards.
I've also read that Centra may be a scam.
I've never heard of MoxyOne.

I know that Wirex has working virtual cards in Europe, and they have been announcing that they started issuing the plastic cards too.
I've read that Cryptopay will start issuing "by the end of Q2 2018".
AdvCash are working on something, but from what I know there's no ETA.
Mistertango has too bi minimum fees.
ePayments I am no convinced they are still in business or not.

There may be others too, but I didn't follow them. However, the choices (in Europe) are not many.

Cryptopay is associated with Russia.

Founder people of the Russia.

Yeah exba.se. I tried the website and it is not working (for sale it says). But yeah okay dark market means I definitely can't use it. That was kind of idiotic to say so thanks for that heads up.

I don't think that is fair to say. I know Russian operations are always associated with bad service and all that, and I know other associations with countries like India or Indonesia, and I know all these are true also, but I have good services with all of them. I use Waves now they are Russian and nothing wrong with them.

You just have to always be careful with any service. Mt Gox was Japanese run by Europeans. They also messed up. Just never trust exchanges, or any services, not fully with all your funds.

All services (Payoneer, Skrill, etc) have accepted my passport ID + confirmation of address water bill.

But Cryptopay rejected, asking for a photo, not a scan.

I have recivied my bitnovo.com card 1 month ago bot yesterday I start using it, I charge it with 100 euro for a test and works perfectly, the fee at atm was a good rate. The card has no name on it on the plastic, actually it has a name called "No required ID", also the information on the magnetic strip has no name as well because the atm recipe I couldn't find my name on it, I don't know about the chip if it has any name but.. for those ones who are looking for privacy I think bitnovo card is a major go.
EDIT: Oh they ask only for proof of address and a photo of my id, not a selfie like most of the crypto debit cards providers do so you don't have to worry like you are in prison or something.

I also have a skrill account with the plastic card and can be loaded with bitcoins but they have terrible fee at atm.
EDIT: In order to use your skrill card at ATM you must deposit the bitcoins through virwox.com because if you deposit directly the bitcoins through skrill.com they can't be used at atm.

Just a simple bitcoin web directory.

I made a check now and from what I see the fees are bigger than Wirex. For 100 EUR wirex asks 0.016406 BTC and Bitnovo asks 0.0172 BTC. That means that if I use bitnovo I lose 5.7 EUR (preev price) at each 100 EUR recharge. Not good.
Also I've seen some quite worrying scam accusation against bitnovo, so I'd stay away.

I read them too before I order the card, but so far for me at least works fine.

About Wirex, I don't tried them but you should take in consideration the fee at atm as well! Bitnovo took me about 2 euro to exchange in my local currency for 100 euro, skrill take about 10+ euro for 100 euro at atm which is beyond terrible. Every card provider has their own fees when you load a card + another fee when you exchange them at atm in your local currency so maybe is lower when you load the card but the fee might be higher at withdrawal at atm.

The ATM withdraws are *very* strange here because my country's currency is not Euro. Some banks' ATM tries to convert the currency at bank's awful rates, some allows me to use Wirex or VISA rates, some add extra, some not. Wirex also allows quite small amounts for withdrawals and have a fee too.
All in all, I've got used to use the Wirex card for shopping, online and offline, since it's the way they prefer me to use it. And for that it works just fine.

So yes, you do have a valid point on using for ATM (in that case you may also want to look at Mistertango, especially if you work with higher amounts, since they have some big minimum fees).

...

Isn´t this just a temporary problem? After all you will know after a few
tests, which ATMs are giving you a good rate and which ATMs are screwing you with usurious fees.
Afterwards you simply stop using the awful ones and you only withdraw at ATMs
with fair rates.

Another possibility is to pay with the debit card as much as possible in order to
minimize the amount of ATM withdrawals that you need to make in a month.

True, in my case I use only atms for a specific bank after I tried 4-5 different banks I decided with which one should I use my bitcoin card but again I tired in the past multiple bitcoin providers I loaded each card with 100 euro to see which one has the low amount of load and then at atm to see how much I can withdrawal and in any case there was differences and most of them are when you convent for euro in your local currency at atm, the online process  to load the card was 1-2-3-4-5 euros difference but at atm I seen even for 100 euro cashout a 20-25 euro fee which means I was able to get only 80-75 euro... terrible!

I try to use Wirex limits work for me: I try to withdraw an amount close to the maximum allowed by Wirex.
Most ATMs don't show how much EUR would that be, but if they use bad conversion rates the amount is over the limits and it's rejected.
Right now I know only ONE bank's ATM that is fair with me. Not the best to search for it when in need for cash.

Yep, that's what I do. Since the are-issue of Wirex cards it's only 2 shops where I can't pay with this card; unfortunately one of them is the one my wife prefers to buy from our daily products (yeah, still discussing that with her..)

Is there anything you've figured out that's different about this shop?

I haven't used a Wirex card much yet but I'll be annoyed if I load it for something specific only for it to be rejected. The Xapo card I used was pretty flaky, especially with airlines. When I rang up to check what was what they couldn't tell what type of card it was.

Nope, and it's a chain (Lidl). I've tried more shops from this chain and no luck. Even more interesting is that I was in other country at Lidl and there my card was accepted.
So it may be something about their software or the payment processor/bank..

We are still alive and working.
We just moved to new domain https://exbase.net

All our Visa Bitcoin cards, even from 2017, are still 100% working.
All customers can deposit in BTC and withdraw funds in local ATM worldwide.
And we can still issue as much anonymous cards as needed.

We don't advertise the cards much yet because we have new project we are working on now.

Why? I seem to recall boasting about dark market dealings. Do it by all means but telling the world about it is not sensible or helpful to legit customers who get caught up in a shutdown, not that I would've shopped with you anyway because of that risk.

well the .se domain was banned by Swedish authorities by request from U.S.A.
They just did us the same thing like to piratebay.se

.se domains are no longer safe havens, folks

and why we were banned here at bitcointalk the same time? I assume it's not coincidence.

so I presume this account will not last too long too.

Anyone have a bitcoin debit card recommendation for US citizens but want to use it outside the US like say Mexico or Canada?  Are the fees going to be high regardless?  I want to be able to withdraw cash from atms outside the US.
