Please give a suggestion for blockchain & tech noob
<Current Problem>
Center-controlled cyber security lacks transparency and have weakness on insider/administrator’s compromise.
Anti-virus software’s passive method cannot prevent zero-day vulnerabilities or unpublished exploits, and also make users dependent on AV software vendors.
Adequate cybersecurity hardwares and softwares are too expensive for activists/organizations such as NPO, NGO, etc.
<Suggestion - Endpoint firewall based on blockchain and consented policy/state>
Instead of having a big firewall/security scheme to trust, make every endpoint as a firewall for itself and its network. In Open Guard network, every node guarantees the true state of any component within that network, meaning any unauthorized change in the state represents an attack, whether internal or external, and can be detected.
Define clean state - allowed applications, configuration information, shared data, event logs, network configurations
Share the defined clean state among trusted network.
Every nodes repeatedly sends their current state to the network, and verifies other nodes’ state integrity as well.
<Functionality>
Alert(or Block) when a node has suspicious behavior which differs from other nodes.
Alerted node attempts to restore the state conditions defined within Open Guard network.
Open Guard network blocks the suspicious node when it fails to restore within certain amount of time.
Restored node can participate into network again when other nodes verifies.
