已于2000年逝世的海蒂·拉玛是一位出生于奥地利的犹太裔美国演员，她不仅是著名影星和反纳粹活动家，其参与发明的展布频谱技术还为WiFi与移动电话等现代无线通讯技术奠定了重要基础。“当你使用WiFi的时候，别忘了对她说一声谢谢。”

今天的Google首页也为海蒂·拉玛献上了一支迷你MV，简述了她伟大而迷人的一生。

海蒂·拉玛的成就有力的回击了那些性别歧视者：“没有海蒂·拉玛这些女性科学家的贡献，你今天还能在这儿当网络喷子吗？”

悲哀的是，海蒂最为人所知的还是她的美貌而非智慧。她自己也意识到了这一点：“所有女孩儿都可以很迷人，你只要站那儿别动并装作很蠢的样子就行了。”
