Both are difficult even if you aren't a beginner, you will still lose as these games are more of luck. I notice lately that when I get to call, players tend to increase the pot size and they always win. Maybe its just be but same goes for almost all gambling sites.

Yeah, BJ is easiest to learn. But it's easier to win at poker once you learn even the basics. In poker you also have more control over how much you can win as well as how much you can lose. When you have a good hand, bet out. If you have a shit hand, you can fold without having to put any more money in the pot.

If you keep getting bad cards in poker, you can just keep folding without putting any money in other than the blinds and antes. If you get a bad run of cards in BJ, you just have to keep eating shit.

In one of those two games you must place your bet before you see your cards.  In the other game you can bet after you have seen your cards.

I used to play blackjack.  Now I play poker.  I don't play blackjack at all anymore.

I have not played a hand of poker in my life so I will take everybody's sound advice here and not go against these high rollers at all the poker sites. Wink
I will stick with blackjack cause it is fast paced and better to play for not so experienced card players. I believe this is where you learn the basics of how to play at any card game.
But I always wondered: Does it matter in blackjack how many players are playing at your table? Does it lessen your odds to have a winning hand if there are more players sitting in at the table?
1st position or last position should matter either I would imagine.

depends on how many decks and how often they shuffle.

Most games I have seen online have an 8 deck shoe and it reshuffles all 8 decks after each hand. When that is done, you will not see enough cards in one game for it to change the strategy. In a real casino or with 1 deck, the more cards you see, the more you know about what cards are left and can use that to adjust your strategy accordingly. That's called counting cards and is very difficult.

Number of players/order doesn't matter. If you beat the dealer you win, if you don't you lose. Doesn't matter what anyone else does, and the dealer's actions won't be impacted either because they hit or stay only based on their cards, they don't care what anyone else has.

Some people (foolishly) would rather go last so they can do the "right" thing and not let someone else "screw up" the cards. this is foolish because they can "screw it up" just a badly from anywhere at the table, and in my experience the number of times someone "making a mistake" screws everyone over and saves everyone tends to balance out. But, if it makes you feel better, you should go last.

definitely poker, provided one is both skilled and experienced at the game. blackjack is more or less a game against the house, with other players potentially involved, and more then likely that casino will have it designed so that it benefits them (the house) in the future. however, in poker, where skill over other players is a major factor at play, its very possible to consistently win the right hands, and fold the bad ones.

8 decks. But I have always thought the more people who are playing the better chances for you to see what face cards are left to distribute out to the players thus allowing you to make a better decision whether to hit or stand.

I ask this question because I am learning to play Blackjack it is simple if you follow the standard rules of the game but there is some luck involved too.
I haven't tried my hand in Poker yet but wanted some suggestions before trying it out.
Wanted to get a pokerstars account is this not recommended for beginners?

Try playing Zynga Poker on Facebook if you want to learn.
I mostly improve my gameplay at poker through that before trying real online poker.

every game has its own benefit and loss, in Blackjack , as others replyied its purely on luck, if you are playing in casino , what ever game you play you will lose it at the end, but in poker if you are playing against live inplay players then their is so many strategy through which you can win .

blackjack is very simple and easy for all and i like that game and if you are a beginner at poker so just play as free first and then go play with bitcoin because to win you need to be a pro at poker and a lucky one Wink because not like blackjack you don't need only luck to win

If you are playing online they reshuffle all 8 decks every hand so it is highly unlikely that you will see enough of anything to make a difference.

And while there are some strategy changes based on the count, knowing whether to bet bigger or smaller depending on what is left in the shoe is much more important, and you have to bet before you see anything.

According to everybody else you don't need as much skill to play blackjack then poker, so your statement is false.
Most people again would disagree with you about them ripping you off. It would also depend on how good you are.

In my opinion both game are the same, not only luck-based game but also skill based game. In blackjack we need to know when to hit/stop, and in poker we need to know when to fold/raise/call.
But in case of easy to win, I'd say blackjack is easier (not in long term ofc) because we can use martingale strategy while we cant do in poker game.

Blackjack is easier to win at that playing Poker surely. There's a lot more skill involved in Poker & it's a lot more difficult to learn.

Poker requires more skill, but is easier to win if you have the skill.

Blackjack is more luck based, but for a beginner gambler, it can be profitable if you stick to the below-fourteen rule.

Poker is absolutely better than Blackjack in terms of possibility of win. If you're good and play many many hand, with some experience you can live with the poker. There are many examples of player that live with the poker (from normal people to the poker stars, like Daniel Negreanu for example).

Blackjack is not good if there is the house edge.
