Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

So Coinbase f-ed me because I was playing poker and transferring to my Coinbase account. Closed my account. How exactly was Coinbase able to blacklist address(es) from the poker site? |

So Coinbase f-ed me because I was playing poker and transferring to my Coinbase account. Closed my account. How exactly was Coinbase able to blacklist address(es) from the poker site? They can use blockchain analysis to see that BTC reasonably came from the gambling site to the account of someone they suspect was using such site. The more BTC you deposit that is from the casino, the more certain they can be of this, as well as the fewer intermediate addresses that are used between the casino and coinbase, the more certain they can be. |
