The best way to stay away is just find some distraction that is the best way. Do what you like to do that is much cheaper.
Find a hobby or something or a sport that will be good. Everthing is better than gambling right.

Good suggetion.  But leaving gambling is not that easy.

Stopping with gambling is not easy, its like a drug for some people, plus its also that people have different reason why they are gambling, some people are doing it for the adrenaline and others do it for the profit.
I think the people need real help because if they cannot solve it by them self they should search for serious help.

It is not easy if you dont try sonething, you might as well don't try to lift a finger just to stop gambling but the fact that you want to stop it because you don't want to gamble anymore well that is a good sign keep that and try it nice and slow.

Instead of staying away from gambling, imo the easier way is driving your desire, because I never meet anyone who could fully stop gambling in their life. But if you could drive your desire, atleast the bad effect by gambling would be less.

The best way is just to stay away to find something else. You must control yourself and that will be the best way.

since it is hobby too, you just need to find a better hobby that you like, a lot of people likes rading books or playing games, buy some games and play them, keep your minds from it and talk to friends about it

Before the new gambling regulations came into the UK where you could limit how much you spend, I used to put my money in a safe bank holding account where I could only withdraw it with the signature of my mother (I was single then)

You need to find a way to control your money and let people around you help.

I think it's really good idea though. So you need signature of your mother to take your money, but i think it's not 100% prevent you from gambling. You can get money from your job and gambling again :/

For example there are many video games where you can gamble, and play with only virtual money, not real like bitcoin.



Its funny because bitcoin is also considered virtual, but it;s not, its real. Virtual would be a video game money or something like that.

There are a lot of methods to stop with gambling or stay away from it, one of them is social control by a relative, I think this is the best method so far.
If you are a gambling addicted its good to have someone that is watching your back and says that you have to stop on certain point, social control is important in your whole life.

Totally removing a gambling thing in a gambler is really not that easy especially if a gambler is at the point now of high level addiction.

If a gambler really eager to make a change, "try" anything that can help him stay away.
