So how about the online? Like bitcoin? How do you suggest them not to open their pc? I dont think it will be easy for someone that work in front of pc, their mind will automatically think about gambling because that already become their habit. That is not easy to change someone just ask them to change their habit How about blocking those sites by other people whom you can't control or ask to remove that firewall? That is one way I could think of that could prevent you from visiting those sites and never gamble on it again. Also in that way you cannot really access the site by any means. pfsense could do the trick.  How are you going to block particular site? There is no way you could block it but let say you can block it, you should be the one who can unblock it again right? So there is no way you could stay away from gambling no matter casino or site. May be you can't go to casino because of far but from site you can access from everywhere which is hard to control from this kind of addiction |

But I can control it anyway not being too addicted to gambling. You need not to see/visit such sites which takes control on you, as whenever you visit there, you will definitely try to gamble something thinking that you might win...
And that "might" thing makes you lose mostly what you already "had" before you gambled...

hi i am getting addicted to gambling.And i am loosing a lot of money.I am loosing what i can't afford to lose.its sad that when you start loosing its just busted me again and again.at last i gamble for fun but now when i am getting addicted i am loosing too much. Breaking the cycle is very tricky, I suggest getting a elastic band for the wrist. Flick it when you get the urge and step away from the computer. Take up walking and go every time you feel like gambling . Improving your diet is also another great way to fight against this. |

It is more a issue of reworking the wiring in the brain that has become stronger from reinforcement of gambling. If you strip the risk/reward angle which far to many people look at and write the rest of a gamblers issue off. When you learn to ride a bike it is hard at first and takes practice,once you can ride the brain has strengthened the network so you do not use the same amount of energy for that task. If you look at it that way you are dealing with a brain that has made a very strong connection and habit out of gambling. Most gamblers have been gambling for a long time before they need help,so it is a very strong network at that point. Its not as easy as people seem to believe to just get on with it and it will take a few relapses to shake the habit. All addictions are habits that have gone haywire. |

I know that many people recommend the same thing but the main fact is that a user himself can stop gambling if he is mentally strong and determined. IF a user is asking for ways to stay away, it makes him mentally weak and such users would never be able to get rid of their addiction. They have to themselves find a distraction or need help to get out of it. |
