I wonder if you can mail the gambling websites and ask them to ban your account or maybe your ip/mac (since it's hard to change your mac) I am sure this will keep you away from it for a long time!

Even you do this if your really addicted in gambling, i'm pretty sure that you'll find a way just to gamble. Especially when you have nothing to do and your bored. There are currently many gambling sites right now, even you mail some of those the addicted ones will find another or any ways just to gamble.
It's in your self if you wan't to get out of that addiction. Self motivation will help you.

wow. it is a very fantastic idea. block for the IP address and the mac address of ethernet us. but I think it's highly unlikely. the owner of the website instead continue to do promotions to get customers. if that happens, then they will lose customers. 1 users website for dev gambling is very meaningful.

Do you have to email all the gambling websites about your ip/mac address? and how about your security, will you trust them that information? And even if you do, I do not think that gambling website owners will do that. That is a potential customer they will lose if they do that. First time I see getting married as a solution to gambling addiction. Never heard this one before. I just wish it was just that easy to cure an addiction. Then there will be less gambling addicts. I think no marriage can cure it. Worse, if you got maried to a wrong person, you get more addicted to gambling to stay away from that person.

control yourself to stay away from gambling is the most important. If you feel difficult to control yourself, the other way is you should have a friend or someone who can always remind you, to stay away from gambling.

Yeah. First of all a gambler plays to make good profit . After he loose a big amount,  he plays to recover old losses. Then , finally he always try to manage cash to play again by keeping a hope that he will hit a jackpot anyday and will get his all loss recovered.
