Hello.
I wish to have my account deleted. i see no way of contacting moderators/forum staff.
i would also like to request that all of my posts be nuked rather than marked as anonymous if at-all possible as they contain personally identifiable/sensitive information.
thank you in advance.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Due to the sudden activity of this account, you should provide first if you really own this account with a sign message from the first used address and stating everything and then either update this thread or pm the moderators directly

You will definitely need to provide a signed message from an old-old address associated with this account at the very least.
Alternatively however, you could go through all of your posts and delete them one at a time. Cheesy

I understand this might be a ridiculous task, but I would be interested in helping you complete this task if we could come to an agreement of some sort. This alternative is only to be considered if you receive no satisfactory response from the staff, of course. I hope you can get what you want handled, but try to remember that your account does have some value even with all the posts deleted. Smiley

if you are suggesting i sell my account i would rather not.
the issue is a large amount of my posts are archived.
i also do not have access to the bitcoin wallets i have used on the site as i use the principle satoshi laid out in his drafts of a new wallet every transaction.

All of the above is nonsense, accounts dont get deleted. Signed message or not does not matter.

If you want to leave just delete any posts that you can and give your account away/leave it dormant. Hell, you could even sell it and make a bit of coin. Accounts don't get deleted, as Shorena said.

the issue is a large amount of my posts are archived.

Taking a quick look on your stats i could say you can delete >98% of your posts, you have 3 on archival which I don't know if you could delete it or not but the rest (mainly on off-topic & beginners sections) could be easily deleted..
Anyway better to delete a specific posts and leave your account (or sell it..) That's the easiest and best solution imo.

accounts cannot be deleted. You can delete all of your posts and/or abandon the account. The easiest way is to just abandon the account by changing the password to some extremely long random string of characters that even you don't know.

You could also sell your account. You are a sr. member, you could sell your account for around 0.2 BTC and then you would make a profit off of it and someone else can use the account instead of letting it sit and take up space on the server.

Finally found it ... Apparently they deleted for someone in the past and I also see another guy with a thread that his account is no longer clickable although the thread he made is still there, not sure what their reasons were

That was back in 2011 where (I expect) the admins were a lot more free and the database was a lot easier to edit. Nowadays, since the admins hardly have time to restore hacked/lost accounts, I doubt they have time to go through and delete a user from the database. I really doubt that it's possible/feasible for the admins to delete an account now.

This was way back in the past. Accounts are no longer deleted.
Here is the reference...

We don't delete accounts anymore, because it is quite a bit of work. Before an account is deleted, theymos has to do at least the following:
1) Make sure that the account wasn't hacked.
2) Check for any existing scam accusations against the person.
3) Check their outbound PMs for scammy behavior.

This is a long, painful process, so theymos just doesn't do it anymore.
