I'm deciding on which captcha to use for my site. Should I use solvemedia or recaptcha, which is the best against bots?

My opinion is that the Funcaptcha is the best.

But you should combine the captcha with other solutions to get a effective security system. Bots use Decaptcher services to solve any captcha.

You should study techniques as:

- Real antibot links.
- Use services to avoid proxies and malicious IPs as NastyHosts and GetIpIntel.
- Use .htaccess to block proxy servers, countries and to blacklist malicious IPs.
- Use a slice/slide button in the place of a simple click claim button.
- Use some timer before enable the claim function.
- Using a second captcha or puzzle to enable the claim function.
- If you are using Funcaptcha, enable the Enhanced protection mode.

If you have to choose just from those two - in my opinion better is recaptcha, but it depends what kind of website you want to provide..

Most of the faucets started using funcaptcha.
And seems the most preferable at present.

Thoses two captcha can be easily bypassed by bots.
I don't know why you insist about choosing one of them but start thinking about funcaptcha, it is the best for the moment

Out of those two I prefer solve media as it is easier to solve when mobile from a users perspective.  The fun capture would probably be best to avoid manipulation.

funcaptcha is easy and... well, fun. But if we do it while multitasking, e.g. one hand is typing on phone while one hand is solving the captcha or one hand is busy eating while the other is doing the captcha, i think it'll be quite difficult because we mostly need mouse drag on funcaptcha.

solvemedia could be cruel sometimes, especially if the faucet user has been claiming for a while. their writing became more and more difficult to read, but I found it the easiest for the case of short time using (means if the user didn't claim too much which will trigger those scribbled problem)

err... Recaptcha? I found it being used for many faucet, and so far it is fine... unless they started to "multiple solution needed" which will happen (also) if you claim too much.

to conclude, I think recaptcha is the easiest because even though they asked for "multiple solution needed", clicking on many pictures is easier than solving a... jumbled picture

Funchaptcha or "are you a human?" if you want a secure captcha(still nothing is perfect).
Recaptcha if you want an easy captcha for users...solvemedia is also easy but after a while they start to give impossible solutions(luckily not many faucets use it).

If you have to claim a lot of faucets then just log off from your google account and you will not get "impossible to solve at first try puzzles" with v2 and you will always get easy numbers with v1.

Get this one too lol

"I'd absolutely without a doubt would rather handwrite a captcha and snail mail it to you rather than use reCAPTCHA v1 and sometimes even reCAPTCHA v2 when it asks for street signs. The damn thing never accepts my answer the first time."

Are You Human is too damn slow. You have to wait a couple seconds after solving and even then sometimes it doesn't take it. They almost have something good.

FunCaptcha wins every single time.

I do like SolveMedia too though. It can be fairly profitable for a Captcha service. I guess FunCaptcha has some revenue option too, but I have never seen an ad. So I donno how decent it is.

There is also youtube video somewhere on internets where bot beats Are You Human easily..

Personally I have been attacked at least one site where using reCAPTCHA, so that is last one what I recommend.

Im faucet user
for me funcapta is better than solvemedia and recapta ,
recapta : very often error at loading picture
solvemedia : sometimes error
funcapta : is easy to claim for "real human" and rarely error

INVALID BBCODE: close of unopened tag in table (1)

No, you are wrong. ReCAPTCHA is easy for bots. They just need to take screencapture and select right answers. Are You Human is a bit more difficult because need to do some random movement to solve captcha, but FunCaptcha seems to be too hard for bots this far..
