The halving is already built in to the price at this point, everyone who actually uses bitcoins for an investment/speculative standpoint knows this.

The halving will only have an impact down the road, say at least three to six months after it occurs.  The price is much more dependent on news, China and whale movement.

A drop from 335 to 325 a few minutes ago. I did say "mini crash," right?

As some of you have pointed out, this is a pattern that has shown itself over and over again. A sideway movement that causes you to hope for a upward movement but someone dumps big time, repeat and rinse. Price will probably go up to 330 and then it will stagnate before another mini crash to 320. We are heading to 250, folks. Short the hell out of it.

I wish you were right. However, the trend is definitely bearish and the way btc behaves we know it's going to drop at every turn over a short and medium term. We will see 314 before we see 500 before xmas. I really don't think we will see 500 this year.

Good for you! Yes, every 1% drop should be called a dump, it's actually more than 1% drop EVERY DAY but who's counting? I've already mentioned it in another thread, it's called the "Death by Thousand Cuts." Every day, we are having this 1% mini crashes, and then price SEEMS to recover but not quite the previous level, and then it mini-crashes another 1% AGAIN AND AGAIN!

Not a bad idea to short some if you already have enough on your stash and some fat money to spare. The thing is don't overcommit yourself into something that is purely speculative and manipulative in the investing game. Spare what you can afford to spare; don't dive in too deep on delusional dreams.

I think people are wising up to the reality of bitcoin price movement. It seems like it's stabilizing at 320 at the moment; However, it will drop to 310 any moment, when you least expect it. Mark my word, a sudden drop to 310 in the next 24 hours or so.
