Cointerra Terraminer IV Low Hash - Reward BTC

I have had a Terraminer IV hashing well for quite a few months. All of a sudden the speeds are sub-par. I am getting 550Gh/s on CTA1 and 225Gh/s on CTA2.

I have seen some old threads that mention the original thermal compound drying out and core's overheating therefore running slower. If that was my problem would I see higher High temps on the cores? If I reboot the speeds seem to be higher initially, then reduce down over time.

Both power supply LED lights on the back of the unit are GREEN. This miner is located at a co-location where I have sufficient power and cooling.

Personally, I think you hit the nail on the head with the thermal compound. I would reapply and test results as a matter of good measure. Second, it could possibly be your PSU on the way out. You mentioned that when reset speeds are decent, but slow down over time, when the PSU loads up it gets hotter the longer its run and depending on the age of the unit it may not be putting out power as efficiently as it was when new, hence, not enough juice to sustain higher hashrates.

The Cointerra units are a fickle bunch. If the above suggestions don't fix it it might be time to cut your losses and send it down the line. Good luck!

dont know about cointerra miners but i have a antminer s2 stock that is now underclocked due to powersupply having issues where it would just shut the miner off i am now underclocking the s2 and getting roughly 930GH/s so maybe your powersupply's efficiency has gone down but its still running..

the antminer s2's use pc powersupplys im not familiar with the cointerra if they use server grade's

might be a thing to look into aswell as the thermal paste
