How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC?

I am looking to help move BTC forward into our economy more and would like to get some suggestions on how we can get more retailers to accept BTC as a payment.  The best part about accepting BTC is that they do not have any threat of charge-back from the customer.  I am just looking for some more input before I start approaching some of these local retailers.

You could approach them and explain them the benefits of accepting bitcoin payments like very low fee,fast transactions,not accountable to governments unless it is cashed out and no problem of being hacked unil the private key is kept safe.

Encouraging local business is the best way to earn good, but these days little by little the popularity along with usage has been increasing. So if not profited at the moment surely the business with bitcoin acceptance will get a good profit in the future.

The acceptance of BTC to other countries like Japan is a big model to the world to accept BTC as a payment, In my country only few people knows about bitcoin and only a selected stores are accepting it as a mode of payment here especially in provinces, only individual merchants is the one who are accepting BTC as a mode of payment. But because of communication technology with the help of information technology we can know the new about trends like BTC whether is on the web or in the local paper.

I don't think that we should do anything actually! When you try and force something up on somebody, that doesn't work well as imagined!

We need to keep improving on our technology and on our applications and all these people, merchants, etc, will come towards us eventually when they see and hear about all the benefits that Bitcoin can give to them! 

Bitcoin works in a more passive way. Meaning to say that it doesn't need much effort for us to encourage businesses to accept bitcoin because its system will do it more. Its development and progress may be the factor of a much acceptance of users and local businesses to accept it. All we need to do is to just continue our support and to used bitcoin in transaction in that way more development and changes may happen to bitcoin resulting for further acceptance of it to the market.

You can as well claim that life is difficult because life has constant drama in it. Just like in life, drama doesn't really affect you that much. Jihan Wu has tweeted again, did not reading it affect you? Did not knowing about Vitalik's opinion affect you? I believe not. I stopped reading about the drama in bitcoin when I realized that it's nothing but drama. There's nothing especial about it. If you start reading about drama, you will just be depressed and anxious about what might happen.

In reality, these things don't affect you at all. If the price went down and it's because of a popular Bitcoin user, does it matter? You couldn't have prevented that from happening. The price will always fluctuate as it may.

Just get many people to ask them (the local businesses) if they accept bitcoin, if everyday the staff is asked 5 tines avout payment via bitcoin, they might consider it.

Another thing would be to make people in charge excited about bitcoin.

We can encourage local businesses in many different ways, one of them being we can send out factual emails that describe the benefits of using bitcoin as a payment method for their customers. Alternately, you can also send out flyers, as mentioned by another user, or some other sort of contact. Usually, email is the best way to get to someone fast.
However, some small scale businesses may not be ready when they are thinking about implementing bitcoins as they have a hard enough time managing their wired transactions. I would say that businesses that are ready will adopt bitcoin, and those who are not yet will let it go for some time in the future.

Their agressiveness is a good example on how other people will be seing them as promising bitcoin investor for the future. To make it realistic,  we must help promote bitcoin to local businesses and let bitcoin to be their sustainable income and investments as well. But think it's an easy part here because we've been going lot's of challenges before that happened.

You need to identify the strengths and weaknesses of having Bitcoin as a currency. And cite some example where bitcoin shows advantages, more like situations and facts. Research how do the countries that legalized it, feels and experiencing after the legalization.

The general path of bitcoin is upward. It is actually a single stone hitting two birds if a business establishment will accept bitcoin as a mode payment. When someone buys from them an automatic profit is already there. They will in turn hold their bitcoin for its price to grow more. Another round of profit will be earned. That is not just double profit since bitcoin is definitely going triple and more in due time.

to me i think the most important is to teach them about bitcoin and when they become use and familiar with bitcoin then we can teach them about it how to use it and may be then they start taking interest in bitcoin. but i think it will take a lot of time because it is not such an easy job.

First we need to explain to those investor how convenient to use bitcoins when dealing with their business where you just need a minute or two just to deal with each transaction despite on those confirmation fees.But more importantly is the time it takes to finish one transaction efficiently using bitcoins rather than physical currency.

A business is all about the "Bottom Line".

If it makes sense for the business and will help them succeed, and the proper profit motive and means to accomplish more profit is explained and understood, they will invest.

Helping businesses earn a transaction fee for accepting bitcoin would do wonders to bitcoin usage and acceptance. 

Instead of paying Visa a fee for allowing a credit card to be used at their business, they could earn the fee themselves for accepting bitcoin (just the opposite of the Credit Card Scenario).

Most of the local retailers don't have any clear idea about bitcoins.They must be individually approached and must be explained about bitcoins.They must be explained that once payment is made in bitcoin,it could not be reversed.Also,they should be explained that though bitcoin price is highly volatile,its price has increased considerably from its previous price.They should be said that unless governments regulate bitcoin,their bitcoin earnings will not be taxed.

I think they' ll be more encourage if we tell them how much is the value of btc now and what will be the value in the future. It's benefit and advantage of having bitcoin in a wallet is like securing ourself in the future. If there will be a mass awareness about bitcoin this will be all be a piece of cake.
