Yes advertising with local businesses is a good idea but it will cost some money. The best thing to do is to conduct some seminars but first make a survey on how many of them are really interested in bitcoin. And once you get a good number of people that are interested to know about bitcoin and improve their business, conduct that seminar.

Curiosity of local business is not good enough to encourage local businesses to accept bitcoin. Maybe we need to give them some idea regarding the good side of owning bitcoin. On that time we need to become one sided for the sake of good marketing of bitcoin.

Like what ? Encourage local businesses to accept BTC ? So you expect a seller, after selling to you, to wait minutes just for him to get his payment and carry mobile phones in his pocket around ?

Lmao…funny. This is just a crazy idea…you go to the market to buy foodstuffs, and you be like “please madam, let me have your BTC address, and how much it cost?” 😁 lol. And you spend like 30 minutes sending and waiting for confirmation. You guys ain’t serious.

At the time of congestion, you can wait for confirmation of not 30 minutes, but several days. I think this is the main reason that the business does not want to take bitcoin. But when you buy a product, you can offer the seller to take bitcoin. Maybe he will agree

by asking do you accept bitcoin  Grin. i know of a toy shop locally that accepts btc
It's good to hear that they are already shops in your country that accept bitcoin as a payment. I think we should better to tell that what will happen if they started to accept bitcoin then we should probably educate them first so that they will understand it. Bitcoin are already trend all over the world maybe they are only people that not yet know it but we should better to aware them about the good things about bitcoin.

By providing data of the BTC trend from year to year. If they are doing business and understand how it is done then there will be high probability they will see the opportunity in BTC

In my experience, if your going to go one by one and try to introduce them to BTCitcoin and explain how it works in order for them to accept payments of BTC , it would be really a lengthy process and you'll stop doing it before you start so the best suggestion I could make is either by making a mini seminar wherein you invite them altogether and talk about it and even show some of the YouTube videos that well known speakers of community are in and they cover almost everything... And in cases of online local businesses, you could try to send them a support ticket regarding the matter and I've had luck that they answered, "were already reviewing BTCitcoin payments and will consider it for the future" .
I agree it is much better to encourage and advertise Bitcoin to people in a more passive way where we just need to continue our support to Bitcoin my using it as a daily transaction for them to know and see what Bitcoin really is. In this time we don't much need to tell to them to used Bitcoin rather we just need to make an effort to let them see the possibilities and the development a head to Bitcoin.
Precisely, I think it is much better if we encourage them in passive way wherein let them to know and to explore how bitcoin work, there's no need for us to explain the finer details. We should continue on what we usually do in bitcoin like our daily transaction and let them see  of what will be the the effect of it upon their business.

This method or way can only be successfully implemented if the businessman will be open minded and ready to accept new things. I tried to new generation the same way, but they went very casual and just passed by what they heard. Tried to indirectly make fun.

But I was stuck to their two valid points about BTC, the fee and ofcourse the time taken to complete the transaction. The fee might not matter if the spender is earning, but the time will.

I think it's better to educate people around you about bitcoin and try to make them bitcoin literate instead of wasting your time and energy in trying to convince local businesses to accept bitcoin. Once people are bitcoin literate they themselves would demand the local businesses to accept bitcoin and then the local businesses will themselves be learning about it and eventually be accepting it. I think that can be much more fruitful and working method.

Maybe those online business man will go to accept first the BTC in there site but don't expect to much with offline businesses since some of the other guys who owns a shop doesn't even know on what is bitcoins and whats the used of it. And Unlike those online business geeks who can adopt it easily and expect that for more years to come and came up with huge price of btc I think businessmans will be convinced to try it since it could be a good expiremental payment option to them.

If truly the Bitcoin debit cards can be used anywhere, then you can also use them in stores for POS. But if you mean when local store will start accepting payments made through wallets, then it won’t be easy.
But, having lightening payment will increase the chances for them to start accepting it, though not everyone is interested in that, even I myself won’t be interested accepting Bitcoin locally.

It depends on the owner of the business, its hard to convince them because the value of bitcoin is fluctuating they will prefer to used fiat which is stable value and it is available to used by all people. Bitcoin is only better for online transactions.

Businessmen will not care about bitcoin if bitcoin can not provide them profit. In my country, there are not many people know about bitcoin and because of that, opening a store which accepts bitcoin is not a good idea. Paypal is even better than bitcoin in this case. It still depends on many factors if you want to encourage local businesses

Our store https://bitpam.com/ accepts Bitcoin and we sell physical Bitcoin coins with free worldwide shipping  Grin

We hope that we can spread the word about these so people can collect them and share with friends!

Code BTC4U gives 10% off, hopefully this will encourage more businesses to accept BTC if people buy things with it  Smiley

I am looking to help move BTC forward into our economy more and would like to get some suggestions on how we can get more retailers to accept BTC as a payment.  The best part about accepting BTC is that they do not have any threat of charge-back from the customer.  I am just looking for some more input before I start approaching some of these local retailers.
We should encourage more people to Bitcoin first. In that way the demand will increase that will convince the retailers to accept BTC as a payment due to the public demand. Also, if it will be legal, surely local businesses and retailers will support it. If they will be awared of its advantages and if it will be less volatile if the demand increase, they will somehow accept Bitcoin as a payment. And that's quite near, now that there are more people that demands for Bitcoin as a mode of payment.

We can convince them by showing the data and price of bitcoin for the past few years and the latest news about it and the possible future price. But I think it would not be enough if there is a little or no demand of bitcoin. It is useless to introduce bitcoin to businesses that have little or no customers that know nothing about the existence of bitcoin. I know some stores that accept bitcoin but they are the big ones who has branches worldwide and besides, the current fee of bitcoin is high which would make the small value items expensive if bought with bitcoin compared to fiat.

In our country as well people were not much aware but now since country may legalize it then we expect many business to start accepting the payment mode in btc. Also considering the growth btc has show during this year many business will get lured considering the huge profits which be made out of it. Only thing is that they need to be made understood about its technology and its advantages .Once they know it will be easy for people to accept btc as a payment .
