Presenting the bitcoin very well and detailed might help, if you can teach them and help them understand how to bitcoin works and how secured it is you can possibly encouraged to accept bitcoin for transactions. Presenting facts will be a good technique as well and pointing negative facts as well so they can evaluate if those risk are significant that could affect their business in a bad way.

Yeah, showing them both sides of bitcoin could really help them decide whether they would accept bitcoin or not. Presenting bitcoin, sugarcoating everything might lead to misunderstanding between you and the merchant. So better show both sides, so they won't just enter bitcoin world and later on regret it because they've seen something they don't like about it.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I think we should start spreading the awareness about the cryptocurrencies because most of the common people as well as small businesses don't know about bitcoins yet. We should spread it on social media highlighting its benefits to them.
Although currently for small transactions, people have to pay high transaction fees as well as wait for long time ...... but we have to start from somewhere and use bitcoin as it was meant to be - as a currency.

Now all crypto enthusiasts is a minority group and I doubt our efforts will end up with luck.

But maybe we can encourage local businesses by asking about possibility to pay in BTC by e-mailing them.

That;s what came to my mind.

I agree but need to consider the legality of BTC in a country, if there is no legality will certainly complicate the use of BTC in the region. In addition, education about cryptocurrency should be campaigned to all parties concerned in order to facilitate the use. We should have basic local bitcoin infrastructure implemented, like bitcoin payment processors, exchange liquidity, local acceptance rate etc. Otherwise the local merchants have no point to pay extra for installing such system to accept BTC.

The real dilemma of this present world is that there is a very huge population which are even unaware of the word of crypto currency. They don’t know what is bitcoin and what all benefits and advantages they can have in their lives by believing in bitcoin.

In my opinion, if we succeed in spreading awareness amongst all those who are there in local business market, there are likely chances that they will start accepting bitcoin.

I am looking to help move BTC forward into our economy more and would like to get some suggestions on how we can get more retailers to accept BTC as a payment.  The best part about accepting BTC is that they do not have any threat of charge-back from the customer.  I am just looking for some more input before I start approaching some of these local retailers.
I think the first thing that you can do was to conduct an orientation for those local business you want to encourage.
And in this orientation you should promote how useful btc was.
Then,  told them the advantage of having bitcoin now adays.
Say that it was the new trend of currency.

To encourage local businesses accept Bitcoin of course we must introduce Bitcoin and Bitcoin payment system with them. But it would be difficult if the person does not support or dubious Bitcoin as a payment that is profitable. With improved security, ease of transaction, and the development of Bitcoin at this time I'm sure they would be interested if knew it and make local businesses start using Bitcoin.

it is not that easy because bitcoin is still complicated until now though there is a big chance that it will make you rich but there are still some people don't believe in it because of it's anonymity . we can encourage them first by introducting the bitcoin.

That's just the first step. Introducing bitcoin to people isn't enough. You have to make them understand that it's actually a good investment. The thing, though, people are looking for assurance especially for things that are on the Internet. Another thing is that local businesses are just following the trend. So bitcoin has to be used by people and actually become in demand for the business owner to actually consider adding it to their system. There has to be a couple of people asking if they are accepting bitcoin. Bitcoin payment has to become as usual as card payment before local businesses are going to accept it. But I guess if you first turn the local business owner into a bitcoin user, he will accept bitcoin by default.

Having a wide range of bitcoin users in your place might help too. Let's say you guys hang out in a place where the owner is a bitcoin user as well, then maybe he can start accepting bitcoin since he already knows how it works and he knows that it can attract more customers that are bitcoin users.

But bitcoin already down it, as you said. Already bitcoin give us full of security, and it is easy to transaction, but matter is that mostly person who have no knowledge about bitcoin they have fear to invest on it. But now very fast time is going to chance and everyday people like to invest on bitcoin, so it is also give us chance to encourage the local business that they accept bitcoin in payment system.

Other than spreading the awareness amongst the people about bitcoin, there is one more important thing which carries more significance than this and that is the role of government and international market. If the traders sitting in international market starts accepting bitcoin, then they will also be encouraged to start accepting bitcoin. Moreover, if government is willing to take some positive steps, then things can change in a significant manner.

why you need to  encourage local businesses . bitcoin used to global payment but for local normal system is better than using papyal or any other normal bank system

Seems literally impossible now. There is no benefit for them and there will never be, other coins however could be implemented, other coins that actually work like a currency, something that bitcoin is not equipped to do right now. Fees way too high, transactions way too slow, volatility. Steam just dropped bitcoin as a payment for these reasons.

Yes, we can encourage people and business community around our area to accept the bitcoin. The major problem is awareness, and knowing about the bitcoin. It’s a natural habit of nay human being to resist the change but we can convince them by telling them about the originality and progress of bitcoin which it has made through years. Sooner or later these people will not only start accepting bitcoins but will also encourage payments in bitcoins.

Right now only way of encouraging bitcoin in business is in the hands of big offline shops. Let that be a grocery, stationary, food court or anything. Always small shops follow business methods of big shops. So this will encourage the small scale business to use bitcoin in their services as an additional option.

I think its pretty difficult to do that, because it has a bad name. The most stores are not convinced by the bitcoin.
The first you need to explain and introduce to them what is bitcoin, after that you need to convert bitcoin to fiat every day to state the selling bitcoin price and then does infrastructure for bitcoin payment already available for the store
I think to encourage still need a lot of things to cover and to improve

Local businesses accepting bitcoin is only a matter of time. I believe when their competitors start accepting them, they will have no choice but to follow swift which will in turn trigger more businesses to start accepting the coin. I believe 2018 is a going to be phenomenal year concerning bitcoin acceptance with local businesses.

With the value of Bitcoin now, I do not want local businesses to accept BTC payments because they might just benefit huge time from it when its value will soar even higher in the future. Not to be greedy but I just want to make sure I realize my profits since it is I who invested in it years ago.

My view on this dramatically changed since I have seen so much possibilities in Bitcoin, especially now that it is not yet regulated. I do not know how its performance will be when it will be regulated. Hence, until that day comes, I will make the most of my Bitcoins.

There may be some improvement in 2018 but in general companies do not recognize Bitcoin. Especially the international companies are more knowledgeable, but the local companies usually like to work with concrete things. In particular, Bitcoin is a bit more stable these days, companies need to know Bitcoin.
