Hello bitbollo, first we no longer award points for half time correct score, only Full time correct scores, so it's quite harder to predict.
Also, we no longer award points for "half wins" (getting right the number of goals that one team scores).

So if the user wants to play all possibilities, he will be betting on 18 selections, so around 18% investment just to get 1 point. That is not a good investment since he will get out of it with negative ROI%, and we award up to 3 points in the gap system.

A user might choose more than one result, and if they wager correctly on just a few probable scores, he will probably come out of those bets with a positive ROI%, plus the extra point. In this situation I see no problem in awarding the extra point, because you need skills to just choose a few correct scores to try the extra point and still get some profit from it.

Here is an example, lets pick the game Poland v Portugal and lets "blind pick" 6 full time correct score selections, like you mentioned in you example:
(the criteria for this "blind pick" is the lower odds possible on 6 full time correct scores)

0-0 @6 (bet 0.00207 btc)
0-1 @6 (bet 0.00207 btc)
0-2 @9.4 (bet 0.00132 btc)
1-0 @8.8 (bet 0.00141 btc)
1-1 @6.4 (bet 0.00194 btc)
1-2 @10.5 (bet 0.00118 btc)

If I wager correctly this "blind pick", with the values above, I would yield around 2% profit if any of those selections won, plus the extra point.

So I would be risking 10% ROI for 2% profit plus an extra point.
The problem is that you cant just "blind pick". Take a look of what happened in the game England vs Iceland. The 1-2 would not get picked for sure in that blind pick, same way the 2-1 for Poland vs Portugal is not here, and it's something that can happen.

So there is still risk involved, and it's not an easy point. Like I said before, a good tipster would wager correctly between those 6 selections and get profit plus the extra point. He could even do it with fewer selections, meaning more profit, but he still needs to make good selections in order to achieve that, otherwise he will just lose 10% ROI and maybe get the extra point.
But by doing that he would fall in the 10%-20% gap, so he would still be losing 1 point compared to his opponent, plus the ROI% he lost for the main competition.

This is why I think this bonus system needs skill to be used successfully.

Like it happened on the first round of the side competition, and I explained for the playoffs phase, since that was one of the questions asked regarding the rules, a player must participate in order to get points. So since you did not place a bet, and MonsterV did, he gets 1 point, even with a -26.21 ROI%

I know it does not seem fair, but those are the rules and there is nothing I can do about that. I can't guess how your ROI% would be if you have placed any bets. Given your opponent ROI you would probably win, but there is nothing I can do, I'm sorry.

The rules are the same, for the next rounds, but fell free to place any doubts you might have.

Normal points system

- Based on gaps:
Gap < 10% -> 1 point
Gap 10% - 20% -> 2 points
Gap > 20% 3 points

Bonus points System
1 point will be awarded per game on Full Time Correct Score market made pre-live.
(points will only be awarded on winning bets or parlays)

- Minimum 12 bets required (average 3 per day) to advance to next phase

Hello everyone, here are the rules for the playoffs. We made a lot of changes from the group phase to make it more balanced.

Rules for the Playoffs

Runs from 25 June at 00h UTC to the 28 June at 00h UTC
Minimum 9 bets (average of 3 per day), during the 1/8-Finals to advance to the next phase.

Normal point system

- Based on gaps:
Gap < 10% -> 1 point
Gap 10% - 20% -> 2 points
Gap > 20% 3 points

So we will see the daily ROI% gap difference from each pair of users, and award points accordingly.

- Here is an example:

User A 20% daily ROI
User B 25% daily ROI
25-20 = 5% gap, and that falls on interval 1, so 1 point for user B, and 0 for A

Bonus point System
1 point will be awarded per game on Full Time Correct Score market made pre-live
If you win a parlay with full time correct score selections in it, you will get 1 point for each of those selection (but remember only on a parlay win, we will not award any points on losing bets or parlays)

Also no points on "half wins" (getting the goals of one team correct).
No points on a losing parlay, even if it has a winning selection with a correct score in it.

Basically you need a winning bet to get points.

It was quite a challenge though, had he been in another group, his 3 points would have allowed him to advance.

You qualified for next round, you just made less points than your opponent.
I made a post about this addressing that question, here is the quote:

I think he was referring to a user with negative ROI%, and a user with 0% ROI, because he made no bets.
In that case we will award the minimum points to the user with negative ROI, because he participated in the competition. So 1 point to the user with negative ROI, and 0 points to the user that made no bets.

Of course that if a user gets 0 ROI% but made bets, we will still calculate the difference and use the gap intervals.

This was exactly the same on the group phase. Users that did not made bets on any given day would not get points. If you don't place bets how can I compare your ROI% with your opponent's and see who won in order to award points?

Well this was a special Euro 2016 and Copa America promotion. Everything should go back to normal after this one.

It wont be calculated tomorrow because you have the Wales v Belgium game in it, so it will only count after that game ends, because only then that bet will be settled. The only way that parlay will count for tomorrow is if you lose Poland v Portugal selection, because that way the parlay will be settled sooner.
