Bankroll will not be changed except the minimum bets may be changed such as 0.5% per bet IMHO

no way to know if BTC price will go to the moon or fall to even more to lower levels until the next competition.

Right now we are not thinking about changing either minimum bankroll or minimum bet (we will just adjust altcoins bankroll if necessary, so that they reflect the same bitcoin price).

The same way prizes are staying the same, I see no need in altering the competition structure, in relation to bankroll or bets.

We are of course in the discussion phase of this competition, so every feedback is welcome and we will analyze it.

The price is so unstable that I don't those changes should be made.
And if the prizes stay the same, then I think the other things should stay the same. I just hope I can keep to the betting structure on the next competition, and don't over do it, like in this one xD

First congrats to everyone that participated on this X Edition, and a big applause to the winners of course.
Hope you had a good experience, that is very important to us.

Now, for those of your asking, we will keep the usual schedule, as we did in the last editions, so:

Right now we will have a 2 week period for discussion and to gather feedback. This is a very important period, because it's the time to see if we need to make adjustments or not. Then we will open registration and go live on the 1st February.

- Feedback and discussion period, until 18th January
- On the 18th January we will open registration.
- On the 1st February we will go live, and start the XI Edition of the Tipster Championship!

A lot of time we have talked about this 13% bonus point, and I think it's truly hard DB decide to remove from competition. Is not a "real money" bonus... about see "pure ROI" a solution could be another column in the league table that doesn't show that

As bitbollo mentioned, a lot has been said about that "bonus", and his purpose.
I will try to resume it again, in case you haven't seen the previous discussion about it.

The main purpose of the 13% "bonus" ROI%, is to promote and reward those that wage more. That's the only way to take "advantage" of that bonus, and we have no problem with that, because like I said, that's it's purpose, and that's the reason we keep it.

This bonus does not depend on the odds you bet, it only depends on how much you bet. So if you keep betting the max allowed by your bankroll (the max 5%), you will get the most out of this bonus. The odds you choose to bet, is up to you and your strategy.

If a player A always bets the 5% max at 1.01 and wins, and if player B always bets the 5% max at odds higher than 1.01 and wins.
Then player B wins the competition. So the odds are up to your strategy. Again the 13% only promotes and rewards those betting the max they can.

Possible side competition changes (your feedback is needed!)

Now I would like to hear your opinion about a suggestion made by joca97, for the side competition structure.
Right now, we have a League phase, and then we go to the knockout phase, using a Playoffs structure.

Joca97 suggested that we would still use a League format in the knockout phase. We thought about it, and it would end up in something like this:

- Players continue gathering points in a League format, and after some time, we eliminate players that are at bottom.
- We continue using the same method, until we end up with just 3 players
- Points would be reset in every "mini league"
- The Final itself would be a mini league, with just three players

So after main League, we have a mini league with 16 players.
We reset points, play it for 3 or 4 days, and at the end, we eliminate 8 players.
Play it for 3 or 4 days, and at the end we eliminate 4 players
Play it for another 3 or 4 days, and eliminate 1 player
Play the last mini league with just 3 players, to see who finishes 1st, 2nd and 3rd

What do you guys prefer?
This new format, or something like it (it's not defined yet, so you could make suggestion to make it better)
Or the one we already have, with a League, and then Playoffs.

I'm ok with both systems. I think the system suggested by joca97 would be more challenging since we would be competing with all remaining players every time. On current system, if our opponent messes up on kockout phase, we can relax a bit and grab some "easy points". But that does not happens a lot, so, like I said, I'm ok with both systems.

Competition only goes live on the 1st February, so he still has plenty of time to be active in the forum and will probably not be a newbie by that time.
But yes, even if he is, he just has to register and then we will decide, but as usual, normally there is no problem.

Side competition Update

Hello everyone, I've updated the dates for the XI Tipster Championship on this thread.
I've also updated the rules for the side competition. Although I've already updated the rules, we are still in the discussion phase, so, we can still use the normal structure we used on the last competition. It's still up to you. If no one disagrees we will try this new system, suggested by Joca97.

Here are the main changes (you can see everything in the second post of this thread) (side competition update)
I did not include the other rules, because they stay the same. I'm just updating the possible change in the Playoff structure of the Side competition.

Side Competition schedule:
Group Phase: 7 to 13 February at 00h UTC
1/8 Finals Mini League: 14 to 17 February at 00h UTC
Quarter Finals Mini League: 18 to 21 February at 00h UTC
Semi-Finals Mini League: 22 to 25 February at 00h UTC
Final League: 26 February to 1 March at 00h UTC

Playoffs Mini Leagues Rules

- Mini Leagues will be played.
- Each League will have the duration of 3 days
- At the end of each Mini League, bottom participants will be eliminated as followed:
1/8 Finals Mini League: bottom 8 players will be eliminated
Quarter Finals Mini League: bottom 4 players will be eliminated
Semi-Finals League: Only the bottom player will be eliminated
Final League: This league will decide who finishes 1st, 2nd and 3rd
- We will reset points at the end of every Mini League
(In case of ties Global ROI% will be used to solve the tie)
