I have 5 S7's and they all seem to working fine, but occasionally one will just stop hashing and become un-reachable on the Network.
When this happens it will have a steady green light.
Could this be caused by my network connection? If so, how can I fix this? It doesn't seem right that a dropout of the network should cause the miner to just stop completely.
My internet is just ADSL and does drop out quite a lot, so I am guessing this has something to do with it - but then why would only 1 miner stop and the others still working?
Any ideas?
Also the beeping is driving me insane. Every time there is a small dropout of my internet they all start beeping.
There is no way to turn it off in the 'Miner Configuration' as there apparently was on the S5 - which is really weird.
I already tried to glue-gun one of the miner's beeper - which was a real hassle (had to take the whole control board apart) - surely there is a scrypting way to disable it?
Any help on either of these 2 issues would be awesome. Thanks !
the beeping is so that you check for fans and over heating.
as to why one drops easy and the others don't
how do they connect?
are five cat 6 wires all the same length make model into 1 switch into your adsl?
if true and wire one is the one attached to your 'bad' s-7 remove wire one one both ends the s-7 end and the switch end. leave it aside.
take wire two from the second s-7 just on the s-7 end pull it out and plug into the 'bad' s-7 turn off the wire free s-7 number two.
if the 'bad' s-7 now works perfectly it was not the s-7.
It could be
the wire
the jack on the switch
or your adsl likes up to four units.
