The gambler's fallacy, also known as the Monte Carlo fallacy or the
fallacy of the maturity of chances. Yikes! my buddy lost a grand in
roulette fast doing this. It was red 3x in a row so took black $20,
then $40, then $80, then $160, then $320, then put his last 450 he
had cause he didnt have a full 640 and lost every one. I was watching
the blood bath first hand. Worst part is on the next roll it hit black lol.
was a rough vegas trip for him lol. He donked off a grand before the
girl even got back with his free drink.
