Received this pm this morning. Be on alert.

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

Do you want to sell your account for 0.0001BTC? Since you got a negative trust from VOD he will not remove it ever and your account is useless. If you agree, we can exchange my account with yours. After buying your account I will try to convince VOD that I am the new owner and let him remove his negative trust and I will give your account back if you want Wink Let me know. Kiss

How exactly is it trying to scam accounts? Many people try it with neg-trusted accounts, but are unsuccessful as none of the DT members get convinced that any neg trusted account was bought, even if they are, they keep the neg trust on the account

i think they just want to buy the accounts to use in the ponzi signature campaign, given the high payouts and upfront payments, the farmers can make quick roi on mass bought neg trusted accounts (which i would imagine go fairly cheap). there were people buying neg trust accounts when the doublebot campaign was going around too iirc.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

It is quoted in op. No posts, it's a newbie etc, all the correct signs of a scammer.

Immoral to buy a neg trusted account? Yes. Scammy? Not quite
Well he gets it:

Even though its quite off-topic to the topi at hand, you should report the PM to admins using "Report to admin" feature, under every personal message. Or report it in Meta, and a mod can perma ban him

Good that you mention it. I didn't notice that report link on the right. very unnoticeable, they should at least bold it.
I just reported it.

With Vod, I would actually not be surprised if this would work, as there have been a number of instances in which Vod openly admitted to leaving negative trust for personal reasons and removed negative trust once the ownership was changed.

I see -15 trust.  You must have added a few people to your trust list.  In any case OP, it doesn't look like a scam at all and your account is basically worth jack shit with the neg trust.  Start over if you can, no?

I don't think he is trying to scam here.

Rather he may buy it and join any signature campaigns that promotes ponzi schemes. For example --- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1322129.0
Your account is a negged senior member so he targeted to go for it for higher payouts. Roll Eyes

Btw I think this topic should be in the reputation section (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0)

You might either have added a tilde for most of the DT members or have added QS into your trust list Tongue

You can fix this by going here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust), deleting everything from the list and adding DefaultTrust to that list. Also make your trust depth to 2.

You'll get the results in no time Wink

But if that is what he is going to do, he is lying about trying to free that account from red trust by talking to vod and then giving it back.
But of course we can't know that for sure unless someone actually trades with him.
