Your best bet for information would be on homesteading communities. There are quite a few youtube videos of people showing their home hydro-electric systems feeding battery's. You could do it, but you would need a good electrician with knowledge of handling unstable power inputs, plus you will probably have to step the voltage up or down depending on the generator output.
Unless you are an electrician, its a very involved project.
