AFAIK, we already put side 10% of every block reward towards proposals.

We just need to create a proposal for the compensation for what/who/amount/when etc and if vote passes, the payment goes to the receiver's address.

That's good I didn't know there was a 10% block tax for development. This is good news. Best way to fund a project.

I like the shield design. Looks good on the cmc page.

It isn't a 10% Tax for Development, it is a 10% budget that is available for a variety of purposes. But if proposals are not created and approved, then the funds for the budget are never created. It isn't just a sum of funds sitting there waiting to be spent. there is a process.

What is the preferred venue for creating / voting on / approving proposals? Can this be done in the trello board?

Proposals can be created from the wallet CLI and utilizes masternode voting.
You can see the current list of proposals on the OP or from the wallet by running mnbudet show.
Or via this link: http://178.254.23.111/~pub/DN/DN_masternode_payments_stats.html

Guide on how to create the proposal will be put up on the OP once it becomes avavailable.
You can check out these old posts on how to create a proposal in the meantime.

+1

PIVX will grow exponentially if we all chip in what we can. It's about the swarm effect.
It can be as little or as much as what you can do with the time you have spare.

So please check out the PIVX Trello Boards and take them on board or create new cards!

Yes, that was taken into also. Here are the breakdown of votes. (slack + twitter)

Design #1 = 4 + 2 = 6 (6/36 = 17%)
Design #2 = 6 + 2 = 8 (8/36 = 22%)
Design #3 = 3 + 1 = 4 (4/36 = 11%)
Design #4 = 15 + 3 = 18 (18/36 = 50%)

Do you need a certain amount of coins to stake?  I've never staked coins before.  I ran the latest version and had the message "staking is not active"  I then downloaded this version and I still see the not active message.  Do I need to enable staking somewhere?

Anyone trying vote who got the "buttons disabled in message archives" needs to download one of the slack apps. The #poll app does not work in a browser.

If it is a windows wallet for some reason anytime you first load the wallet (new/update) you have to close the wallet then restart and staking will activate after a few minutes.

It works fine with Chrome for me on my Windows PC. But yeah, seems some do have this issue.

I had tried with Chrome and Firefox but had the same issue with both, and was only able to vote after downloading the app. Depending on Windows version and desktop/laptop (I've seen apps not work on desktops but work fine on laptops with the same version of Windows) is probably the cause.  Slack has an app for almost all operating systems, safe to say voting should work in all their apps....
