Can the wallet be locked when acting as a masternode?
Yes of course. aside from encrypting the wallet.dat, an active masternode's collaterall address cannot be spent unless the user explicitly enables and uses coin control features to do so. I dunno then wallet was open for 2 1\2 days with no payment? when I set up the MN it said was good? |

Have you checked your MN are correctly working with masternode list-conf it'll be three weeks before I can try again, I'll keep that in mind |

Only a little more than 8k blocks left before PoW decrease. Umm, no. I am going to make the necessary changes and we will release the new wallet later today or tomorrow morning. As I said earlier we will allow 2 weeks for everyone to get updated. So, the change won't happen immediately, but is on its way. Block 151200 is when the switch will happen. |

PoW phase with steady block reward is producing too much coins, it is hurting early investors and promotes dumping. Price now is 4x lower than month ago. We need emergency measures to prevent this.
I propose significant reduction of PoW supply and giving biger % reward to masternode owners. It will decrease selling preasure from miners and will support MN owners who are more loyal to Darknet cryptocurrency.
We will have total of 39 960 000 coins at the end of the PoW phase instead of 64 800 000 coins (-24 840 000 coins that could be dumped).
Blocks 1 - 135 000 (94 days, ends by may, 8)
POW reward: 250 DNET
Total supply: 33 750 000
Blocks 135 001 - 259 200 (86 days)
POW reward: 50 DNET (25 to miners and 25 to masternodes)
Total supply: 39 960 000
Blocks 259 200 +

Maybe leave 25 DNET to masternodes and miners and just add 5 DNET to proposal budget if needed. |

Ugh, we had a long day, I had to keep running my kids here and there all day, and we had a few last minute issues creep up, but, the new source is now available on github for all of you self compilers, https://github.com/Darknet-Crypto/Darknet/releases/tag/v1.1.0.0. The binaries will be up soon, s3v3n is working on compiling them right now. The newly updated ANN will follow closely behind. This is a mandatory update, everyone needs to be on the new version, 1.1.0.0, by block 151200, about 2 weeks from now, that is when the new block rewards will go into effect. Notices will be sent to all service providers shortly. Thanks for your patience, I know I said this would be done last night or this morning. Sorry for the delay guys. |
