News: BIP91 seems stable: there's probably only slightly increased risk of confirmations disappearing. You should still prepare for Aug 1.

Once DNET shows more progress and potential to hold its own, it should see more trade volume & network growth.

Less than a week to go until PoS now! Mandatory PoS wallet should be released very soon!

Are there any descriptions on how the PoS is done? Like how much we have to keep in our wallet etc to get a certain amount of payout and all..? hmm

Yeah that is some cash, would be nice to see some more people get invested in a big way.. Smiley Keep it up everyone...

Incoming proposal for compensation for Jakiman for daily Media updates (various outlets, to include bct/twitter)

Proposal to setup Public-Awareness Program through Jakiman;

hash=2b9f607c516b49e3f8277c565ed14b506528c6a152c5e63d468ac418c90c3089

"mnbudget vote 2b9f607c516b49e3f8277c565ed14b506528c6a152c5e63d468ac418c90c3089 yes" to vote in favor

"mnbudget vote 2b9f607c516b49e3f8277c565ed14b506528c6a152c5e63d468ac418c90c3089 no" to vote against

"mnbudget getinfo public-awareness” to check the status

IF I had a way to vote I would have voted no too. Why? I posted a few questions and was unable to get a single answer.

Just to be clear, majority of your answers have been answered satisfactorily, I also find it odd, that someone who asks so many questions, would not do so from their primary account.. but here goes;

Q1. I sure hope they (devs) are aiming to get this coin to within top 50 market cap at least.

A1: I would assume ALL dev's would strive to get there coin above 1 Billion MarketCap, But things need to be in order before that even becomes a concern.

Q2. It saying it's coming soon on the OP. Hopefully it can be added to it soon.

A2: There is a guide, and it has been explained if you read the other posts. I haven't posted in the OP yet as I am waiting for some more information from the user who created the guide.

Q3. Android wallet (and probably IOS also) is in the road map with ETD as TBD.

A3: Yes, I will say there will be an Android wallet, not sure of an iOS wallet but it is possible. We are transitioning to some new servers toward the end of the year to keep costs down and so we will host our own servers for the wallets.

Q4. Staking/MN was explained by s3v3nh4cks. I assume it'll be explained in much better detail once the PoS wallet is out.

A4: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1262920.msg15413876#msg15413876

Q5. Decentralized? I believe the coin is quite well distributed as it had approx 6 months of PoW.

A5: Coin Distribution is looking very good at the moment, There are quite a few miners who still hold coins that I am sure will either dump or stake when it is available. I believe they are waiting for another price hike, but we will see..

Q6. As for MN distribution, it would be pretty good also with over 1000 MNs.

A6: http://178.254.23.111/~pub/DN/DN_Info.html

Q7. How big is the development team?

A7: There are officially 6 Dev's who are working on this project now, some more limited than other's due to prior commitments or family duties. More are needed to push the project along. presently, There is Stakebox, Myself, Waffles99, Presstab, jk9694 and Kizeren if anyone has skills, and is interested in participating send me a PM.

Q8. What makes this coin different?

A8: At this point, other than the cost of entry, and the fact the we will be the first PoS coin to work on the bitcoin core 0.10.x not much, but we are working to change that and change is a slow thing. We will have anonymous transactions, but We won't fluff you with delivery dates and hype. when it is ready, we will let you know.

Q9. Shapeshift?

A9: We have contacted them about getting added, but they have their own approval process and will add DarkNet when they feel the volume will justify it.

I hope this again answer's you question's. If you have more, please feel free to ask.

Yes you did. Thank you very much. I strongly agree with you DNET is a perfect name for this great coin.

How is the POS switch looking? Did testing go ok and we're allgood or what up?

Coding is 99% completed, testing now... Smiley

Great News! I will update as soon as it's released.

Ok Everyone, the new Source has been pushed to github,  and I am building the wallets now and will push them when they are done.

There are a few things to know about this update,

First: No changes happen until block 259201

Second: This is a Crypto first, and a lot of coding went into this to be able to do PoS on Bitcoin Core 0.10.x and as such, I apologize in advance if there are any issues we did not find in testing.. Smiley

Third: The masternode enforcement has been turned off until 85% of the Clients and masternodes have been updated, at which time it will be turned back on. Please update as soon as possible and be patient as updates can be bumpy.

Lastly.. This update will require you to re-sync the entire blockchain on both the client and masternodes. It doesn't take too long as it is small at this point. You can delete everything in your wallet folder except, darknet.conf, masternode.conf and wallet.dat.. Make sure you make a backup to be safe.. Smiley

Please post any issues here and I will address them as soon as possible,

Thanks

UPDATE: I have notified the exchanges of the required update, I am sure Bittrex will be on top of this, but Yobit's new policy says they can take up to 2 weeks to do wallet updates.. so user be aware please...

THINGS TO BE AWARE OF:

- when the last PoW block comes in, you will need to restart your wallet to activate staking. It might start up automatically after a few minutes, but I always just gave it a hard restart.
- Your wallet needs to be synced to the full mn list, or else the staking will not activate.
- The wallet will disconnect peers that are not on the current protocol after the last pow block

yes it is.. Smiley I will be posting the wallets later today, had a little delay, we noticed something that needed to be updated, so wanted to push the wallets once. shouldn't be long though

Wallets are posted.. Now remember, don't panic when you update your wallet and can't see your masternodes.. both have to be running the same wallet version.. Smiley

Did you completely delete and re-sync the blockchain? I see in your firsat post you say re-syncing, but did you delete everything except the darknet.conf, masternode.conf and wallet.dat?? and then re-sync?
