Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

I have a question.

How are people creating so many master nodes, if each requires its on public IP address? I would imagine that purchasing VPS or servers or what not that offer so many IP address would be rather expensive thus not be feasible to have so many master nodes to profit from. What am I missing? Is this something that is working with IPv6? I am assuming so if so many MNs are being made, and there are so many more IPv6 addresses available.

I've had six orphans while staking in the past two days. Anyone else having this unusually high rate?

Orphans are a normal part of any PoS coin. 6 is not bad.

There are hosting services, as well as cheap VPS's. but some are using IPv6 as well as IPv4.

As the resource requirements increase as the coin grows, the cost of hosting will also increase. It is a natural progression.

So are people running multiple MN wallets on single cheap VPS's that are given multiple public IPs???

I would assume that some are, if the VPS has the available resources.

I know some VPS's have a lot of IP addresses available to them, albeit IPv6. It would then come down to other resources, ram, drive space, cpu etc.

I use mp hosting. Paul top bloke and it's $1.50 per masternode/vps. You can also pay him on dnet.

Not sure im understanding exactly what you are saying. $1.50 per masternood/vps??? A VPS for $1.50 per month, or a master node makes $1.50 per month?

Hi ok my hosting works like this
You pay $1 setup up charge per masternode and $1.5 per month
So for the first bill it's $2.5 for the first month then $1.5 per month there after
Each masternode gets its own ip4 IP addtress I don't do IPv6
You get full root access to the vPS
If you need any more info just let me know

Thanks

Hmm ok, so about $18 per year? Lets see, a master node will yield about 15 coins per day? That is about 5475 per year. If those coins are worth about 650 sats each (approximate current value) that means after 1 year you have earned about 0.0355875. Assuming a bitcoin value of about $610, that means the coins earned by the master node in 1 year are worth about $21.708375. Maybe my estimates are a little off, but that just doesnt seem to be worth it, unless the coin value really sky rockets. Less than $4 per year profit per MD. Not sure that is really worth it Undecided On top of that you have the cost of also buying or obtaining the 10k required to hold in the node to be a MN

Ok that makes a little more sense.

How much resources do each wallet use. Just curious how many can run on a vps. I know it will depend on vps specs, but knowing about how much 1 uses, would help figure how many can be used on a single vps.

i guess the calculation on the site is wrong.
payment per Masternode is around: 36  DNET/day atm not 55 dnet/day

1.38 x 26 dnet, not 1.38 x 40 dnet ... or am i missing something here?

Cheers

You are correct. The calculations on the MN info page is using full 40 per block instead of 26 that it is right now.
It's been like that since the PoS switch. Crowning knows about it I think but haven't had time to update it yet.

Another masternode... another first payment. :-)

In case you are curious, the first payment came after 46 hours.

i imagine there is no 'enforcement' available for DNet (is that correct) ?
as my MN payments are all over the shop - 1 day  Wink

3x 52
4x 26
2x 26 (after no payment for 1,5 days)
1x  0  (no idea why he is still off)

(for the sake of statistics)

Reward Enforcement is on, But masternodes are chosen by consensus, so there is a level of randomness to the choosing. not every masternode will get paid every 24 hours. it is more of an average.
