Wow.....sudden rush of upcoming anon coins (Komodo, CredaCash, Byteball etc). I expect more once Zcash goes live.

I hope DNET survives all this competition.

BTW, there isn't much discussion here about DNET's approach to anon transactions.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

if I thought it wouldn't I would sold it to the gent above for 2.5K USD $ and buy ICO of one of the above  Cool there is no hype here, steady, around 170 K +/- cap , solid base, 2 devs versed in C++ and a dude from the "famous BTC pizza " amongst fans

ok! 70th master node has been activated

Same here..........however, I still think there should be more discussion about DNET's core feature i.e. anon tech.

from this thread, there is an indication that devs are deep thinking about it, and in fact there was some discussion already , ie idea that zcash might not be that secure after all due to researchers involved with it and their connection to gov crypto labs..  in fact they very likely are. if u trace "team" and connection of Universities were they are at.. and various sponsored programs..

for me idea of mixing is a powerful on and very likely will stay , I look at dash price and it is very high and stable so people there think that too, cryptonote algo also uses mixing and has been accepted to the deep-web and these folks don't take any chances..

I say lets allow devs continue their full time work (which they have as software engineers very likely judging from their git commits) and let them in peace and quite introduce what they think (and we also have voting system).. rest unfort would be hype

but yeah.. this coin is very much about anon and legal transactions. and that is big

meantime also u have various hackers trying to "break" our network.. by patching client causing some chaos.. but no coins were lost and we are back on a stable platform

All I know is that it is unique and doesn't rely on the existing obfuscation method although it could be used in conjunction.
Also, apparently the transaction will be very quick and it will be used as the default method for all DNET transactions.
Devs are writing up a white paper for it so I don't think it's too far off but like anything in life, that could change. Tongue

Detailed white paper would be nice!

Zcash transactions still take too much time........so speed will be one of the main areas where all anon coins will compete.

The current alpha code that we have running on a testnet ‒ it takes like about a minute or two of CPU time to generate a new privacy-preserving spend and only like a few milliseconds, I think, to verify. The latter part is for the good for performance, and that’s really important because all the full nodes and the miners have to be doing verifications all the time. The former part is pretty bad because it takes a whole minute or two on like a high-powered, supercomputer 64-bit laptop CPU.

Yeah, I believe s3v3nh4cks is writing one up. They are quite confident about it so I'm quite anxious to see what it is!

my testwallet is still sitting here empty doing nothing !
do i get any tDNet ?
yD4ncrGqBxMXSbGzEkThp6rb7ZYfuPwJnv

Reg Anon...
we all know that it takes more than being "just" anon these days in the markets
(look at dash - full packadge) - monero does not count i think - just a pump with D Net Markets - give it some month and it will be all back to 'normal'

so DNet could have that packadge too - as voting is in here too and all other Dash features
mixing work but way too slow - this has to speed up and work solid as a 1st step
ZCoin and Cash .... their tech might work but their 20% funding from blockchain straight to the company will give them a tail of greef , incl Legal Problems in the long run + who in a clear mind would support that . the markets (as crazy as they are) will propably jump on it and the initial pump will 'pump' but for the long run .... good luck to them
i think the 1st or 2nd fork of that should be more interesting when the 20% funding issue is solved  Wink

Updated MN's running and 1st payments coming
Wallet Staking but no payments yet

I have now updated all my masternodes & wallets to v2.1.3.0.

It was a very easy and smooth upgrade. Had no issues whatsoever.

DNET is getting more mature and resilient over time! Love it. Great work devs!

Same here, all my MN's are already paying and I'm starting to  stake the aprox. expected amount of blocks, so for the moment everything seems to be right. Only thing is that I continue having the impression obfuscation never pass from 87 % (5000 Dnet/4 rounds here), but maybe only a personal impression.

Salute

Have you tried a real DEX??? But a real DEX like this!!!

The issue is the higher the rounds, the more people that are required for you to be able to freshly swap coins with. which is why it is taking so long. I am doing 10k/8 rounds and have been at 39% for quite awhile. As the network grows, it should become a much faster process.

Oh, thank you, now I understand it. So obfuscation speed, quantity can be also used as a pseudoindicator of the waelth of the network. Good.  Smiley

Quick question, what are the developments going on for DNET in the future?

I know right now the rolling out an update is priority, but what tech will convince people to use DNET for their transactions?

We are working on a trust-less anon transaction which will become the primary transaction for DarkNet.
