Is it possible to send dnet coins to pivx wallet or do we need to wait for them to be rebranded by bittrex? eh, I'm a newbie, lol!
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Both DNET and PIVX wallet work on the same chain/protocol version currently.
So it's fully transferable either way atm.

I keep getting stuck on block 259364.  I am running v2.1.4.0 on Ubuntu 16.

once bittrex performs updates there will be further escalation of trades but dont expect "base" (self including) to sell (expect deficit of large coin blocks offered for sale), critical algorithm updates will occur which will multiply mc multiple times, I roughly estimate we will end up in several multi million mc cap even while development is ongoing and nice think is development wont stop any good software updates itself constant

have a great weekend!
Where you the guy investing in MN's with his MN's returns?? In that case, you are not going to be able to park so many lambos... Wink It's PIVX lambo time Grin

this is correct Sir, could unload for thousands of dollars right now but I just went to a market and left 100 dollars and got very few items back so no, enough said

in my estimation FIAT is finished and all else around is buying time to finish it off

let me re-edit (its me re-editing no one else) quick and short

PIVX will be using "zerocoin protocol"  sorry for adding to confusion unintended , you are in great hands! (software engineering wise)

as a service to the community is this here of course, but also would get on monero (or similar) for scratchpad to fence off prying eyes , zcash to be injected into PIVX is best available non quantum classical algorithm there is  (even post quantum) issue with zcash it is expensive (as a coin to buy on an exchange or to mine )... but very very good but it will be adopted here for as dash for master nodes for fraction of the cost of the original

enjoy the rise! believe people that hold the "base" are around crypto for > 4 years and they know better where is @

zcash protocol will be also part of ethereum (you all should own ethereum) it has properties similar to SHA that its mathematical structure exhibits strong non linearity even in the face of Shor or Grover quantum attacks or similar\

monero though is also expensive (but very good) and can not be deciphered , overall till this here reaches several million of dollars in the market cap this is your best bet

Enjoying the price rise but I'm a little confused. Are we porting zcoin or zcash tech into pivx?

If it's zcash. We are still on the launchpad and heading to the moon!

If it's zcash. We are still on the launchpad and heading to the moon!

Devs are going to implement the zerocoin "protocol". This is not the same as Zcoin or Zcash.
Anyways, there are very good reasons for this and devs are sure that it is for the better. Wink

BTW, we have many new devs that joined PIVX core team past few days.
We now have at least 6 core developers with more joining as I write this!
Their profiles will be on the new website. (ETA approx. 2 weeks AFAIK)

If you or anyone can also help, please PM s3v3nh4cks or join our Slack's #development channel.
You can join via this URL to get an auto-invite. Everyone is welcome! http://slack.pivx.org/

Really appreciate the clarification. I'm not a huge tech guy. 6+ core developers - outstanding! I'm sure they will add a lot of value to the project. Luv that we have a way to fund them too! PIVX is just get started IMHO. Glad I've been buying since April!

Here's something I posted on Slack a while back for the newcomers to PIVX. (updated Feb 23)
It's just a list of stuff as I see it. I tried to stick with facts only. Hopefully it's useful to some.

What sets apart PIVX from other digital currencies? (or just general info summary)

00. Background info. PIVX launched with a name called Darknet back in Feb 1 2016. It has since been re-branded to PIVX from Jan 1 2017. Same devs. Same community.
01. PIVX is a open source crypto currrency based on DASH so it inherited its core technologies such as Masternodes, Private transactions and Instant Transactions.
02. PIVX uses Blackcoin's improved Proof of Stake 3.0 protocol instead of Proof of Work. So it is more efficient in keeping the network secure than PoW.
03. PIVX had no ICO nor existing pre-mine as it was publicly burnt.
04. PIVX is based on Bitcoin 0.10.x core (and currently going to 0.13.2) which means it is more up to date than most other PoS digital currencies that commonly use a lower Bitcoin core version.
05. PIVX employed a professional media company for its new logo (complete) and website development (go live ETA end of Feb / March 1)
06. PIVX uses an innovative variable Seesaw Reward Balance System that dynamically adjusts its reward to masternodes and staking nodes.
There is a technical whitepaper for the above feature. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1G58gtDdQtT-8kV8Fu7_764Fxn0i5fs0jGURvz8KJlTE/
07. PIVX has an active community on multiple social networking sites with Slack being the most active and where all the devs hang about. Auto-join link for Slack is http://slack.pivx.org/
08. PIVX community also uses Trello for open task planning and management. https://trello.com/pivx Please PM me here or ask on Slack if you would like to help with the tasks!
09. PIVX has a highly active, accessible and responsive development team. (always open to new devs)
10. PIVX is available to trade on multiple exchanges including Bittrex with plans to be added to larger exchanges.
11. PIVX currently has a monthly decreasing block reward inflation with it reaching its final low inflationary rate of approx. 4.8% pa beginning mid-May 2017.
12. PIVX has a repository of guides with more planned including video guides and materials. http://pivx.wiki
13. PIVX has had consistently higher profitability percentage compared to other digital currencies utilizing masternodes such as DASH since launch and even now.
See here for current Masternode Payment profitability summary & stats. http://178.254.23.111/~pub/DN/DN_masternode_payments_stats.html
14. PIVX will remove coinjoin method of DASH and implement a FULL TIME modified libzerocoin protocol. This will make it one of the most advanced PoS anon crypto.
15. PIVX has at least 6 core developers (as of writing this in mid-Feb 2017) with more potentially joining soon. Any developers who can contribute are also welcome!

Then it's OUT with them!!! exchange back to BTC and straight to Bittrex to re-buy PIVX again (into private wallet)  Grin

On another note, They cancelled everyones Buy and Sell orders... So go check them if you had any..

I propose that we use some funding to get a slot with Bitcoin Rush. Good PR once zero protocol is launched. I think it's only .10 BTC or quite possibly free.
